## Amiga Amore: A Culinary Fusion of Italy and Mexico in Los Angeles Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, Amiga Amore is a unique restaurant that seamlessly blends the vibrant flavors of Italy and Mexico. Founded by a husband-and-wife team, Alessandro Zecca and Danielle Duran Zecca, this culinary gem offers an unforgettable dining experience that transcends traditional boundaries. The restaurant's cozy and intimate atmosphere sets the stage for a delightful culinary journey. The exposed brick walls and warm lighting create a welcoming ambiance, while the open kitchen allows guests to witness the artistry of the chefs firsthand. Amiga Amore's menu is a testament to the couple's passion for both Italian and Mexican cuisine. Each dish is meticulously crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients, showcasing the harmonious marriage of these two distinct culinary traditions. Start your meal with the "noprese" salad, a refreshing combination of nopales, hibiscus salt, and house-made stracciatella. For a heartier option, try the elote agnolotti, plump corn-filled pasta bursting with flavor. The pork chop milanese, encrusted with crushed tortillas and served with a cilantro-laced arugula salad, is a must-try for meat lovers. No meal at Amiga

Overall the food is lovely. We enjoyed every thing that we ordered but there’s really no ambiance. Not unlike many LA restaurants, a 4% kitchen fee and a 3% credit card surcharge soured the mood. Including 10% tax and 20% tip, the bill is 37% above menu prices. Eating out is increasingly unaffordable.

Lovely restaurant with unique dishes. The space is casual and feels like a very comfortable neighborhood spot. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. While we enjoyed everything we ordered, the aguachile was spectacular, and we also loved the agnolotti. The huitlacoche cacio & pepper is a very unique dish that grew on us the more we ate it—very earthy and satisfying. Looking forward to trying brunch soon.

We sat outside for a table of 6 plus a toddler. The outside area was perfect for my grandson to run around. Ivan was our server and the chef/owner Danielle even served some of the dishes to our table. This was a lovely, casual dinner with excellent food. All of the dishes were not only beautifully presented but delicious. Its hard to name a favorite but the consensus at the table seemed to be the Elotti Agnolotti, Chorizo con Clams, and the Aguachile. Wonderful evening with delicious food and love to support small business and the locals.

My expectation for this place was high and unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. Cute place overall, service was decent, atmosphere was okay(we were sitting outside in the back), drinks okay and food was not memorable. Might try and going 1 more time, maybe something was off. We ordered the Focaccia, the sweet potato ceviche, the carñsada plate, the clams, Aqua Chiles, and the rigotoni. The best one for me was the Ceviche, then the clams, and the meat.

A divine culinary experience! Chef Danielle IS the best chef. I have been fortunate enough to try many of the items on her various menus and I’m always delighted and pleased at the taste and complexity of each dish. Chef is excellent at putting tastes and textures together to ensure your dish is memorable.

You can't go wrong with any dish and the collaborations are always on point. This past Sunday it was a collaboration with a coffee vendor and bakery. It was amazing! I had a tiramisu latte from the coffee vendor, Italian chilaquiles from the restaurant and a guava cinnamon roll from the bakery. My only hang up is the parking situation get there early! Street parking is hard to find.

This place is a little gem. Our first time there was not a disappointment. The chorizo with clams was one of the best we’ve tasted. And the duck duck duck was so full of flavor and so interesting. The staff was very helpful and they all seemed to enjoy interacting with us. Bravo to the Kichen staff we will definitely be back.
