I just went for restaurant week. First time there and i will not return. The restaurant is too small. Tables are literally on top of each other. Barely any space to move around. My drink was weak. The turkey wings were good. The sticky wings were good. The peach cobbler hand pies was basically a peach empananda. The banana pudding looked like it was made for a child. Service was slow and dysfunctional. On top of that they automatically charged 20% gratuity for a table of 3. And was told this is automatic. There system was down so no receipt. I do not recommend, go somewhere else. There are many more options downtown.

The restaurant staff were nice and pleasant. I think they should give crackers for the soup and bread for the table while waiting for your food. I enjoyed my meal, but my husband gumbo did not have much seafood in it. He said it was okay. Overall, I would return and try something else. Thanks

Service was terrible - waited never checked on the table. Dish for restaurant week was tougher than a well done steak and they didn’t offer to remake it. 22% automatic gratuity is added to the bill, but automatic gratuity is not indicated on their menu or website. Service didn’t deserve a 22% gratuity and I’m usually a great tipper unless service is poor. Very disappointed with the experience.

We had a wonderful experience. We could not have asked for better food or service if we had tried. The cheesesteak beignets could not have been better. I also had the lobster bisque which was so flavorful that is was even good lukewarm. The seafood pot pie, was nice and hot (temperature). I cannot say enough about the food. Now the service, OMG, it could not have been better. Pleasant, attentive, professional, friendly, kind and extremely courteous. My only problem was when we were saying grade out loud, the server who brought the food over kept saying “lobster bisque, lobster bisque” over and over until I put my finger up. I think a certain amount of respect and restraint needs to be shown in those instances. Also. Lighting was horrible. Otherwise awesome experience!!! Cannot wait to come back.

This was my first visit but it will not be my last. The food was delicious. I had the warm black eyed pea dip, watermelon salad, stand alone rib w/mashed potatoes and the banana pudding brulee. The presentation of all the dishes were beautiful also. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try, thus the reason for me going back.

Our experience was great for our date night! The service was amazing, and so was the food. The meat wasn't as hot as we would like it to be, but still delicious. So were the sides and the dessert. Hight recommend Amina!

Another great meal at Amina. Highlights were the Cheesesteak Beignets and the Nigerian Hot Chicken. Both were excellent. Can’t wait to return.
