   # A Charming Portuguese Dining Experience We discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant, and what a special place it is! The Portuguese owner makes a point to visit your table for a friendly chat, creating an immediate sense of welcome. The experience goes beyond just dining—the restaurant's singer not only stops by your table to converse but even encouraged me to sing a Brazilian song in Portuguese! Note: I am Brazilian... The warm atmosphere extends to the other guests, with fellow diners occasionally approaching our table to share a comment or appreciation. The ambiance is thoroughly pleasant, complemented by delicious food and an excellent wine selection. I absolutely loved this place. It offers that rare combination of genuine hospitality, entertainment, and outstanding cuisine that makes for a truly memorable dining experience.

   Amore's Italian-and-Portuguese menu is consistently excellently preparedm and our service was wonderful. Amore is nearly unique in its commitment to dinnertime live music; our keyboard vocalist was both terrific background and great fun. I happily recommend Amore among Sarasota's many excellent restaurants.

   It was our first time but not the last! We shared the burrata and a lemon cake. So yummy. I had the shrimp and rice from the Portuguese menu. It was so delicious, a bit spicy, but perfect for me. I had plenty to take home. My husband had the grouper. He enjoyed it. Lorenzo, our server, was very attentive. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. One thing on the vibe side, personally, I wish they had a bar.

   This was our first time there. It was highly recommended by a friend. It looks like a hole in the wall but it wasn’t! And by the way I love a hole in the wall! Food and service was excellent!! Loved the piano player and he also had a great voice! The owners are hands on and very friendly. It is owned my a husband and wife, which we met. The wife actually is a server and the husband is one of the chefs. I was surprised at the location, but once you walk in it is amazing! Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavors are incredible! One of our new favorite places!

   My friends and I had a terrific experience at Amore last night. We enjoyed our various pasta dishes and salad. Best of all is the music by Eddie Tobin. He plays such a wide variety that everyone hears something that’s a favorite. Whenever I have guests, I always make sure that an evening at Amore is on our itinerary. If you go once, I bet you’ll be going back multiple times!

   We shared the Cataplana De Marisco which was more than sufficient for 2, and very delicious. The scallops, shrimp, etc were all cooked perfectly and included 2 large lobster tails. Loved the broth. Wasn’t sure how the chick pea salad was going to taste, but it was another winner. I would definitely order that salad again.

    Restaurant is located in a strip shopping center. The restaurant is very inviting once you enter. They had a lady singing and playing the piano. We ordered a great bottle of Cab Sav. It went well with my Portuguese copper pot dinner of pork and mussels. It was very unusual a delicious. We also order two Italian pasta dishes that were outstanding. Certainly will return. The meal was a great value.
