   Delicious Sunday roast and nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced for the area and decent sized food portions. Friendly staff.

   Excellent scotch egg and burger sat by the fire. Definitely will go back

   Excellent Sunday roast. Reasonably priced. Terrific service and atmosphere. All over, a good gastropub.

   Atmosphere was very loud and crowded with Friday evening revelry. With a reservation, we were seated near the rest room and I was bumped repeatedly as people made their way to the restroom, which was a frequent occurrence. Fish n Chips looked beautiful but were quite bland. The battered crust had good crispy texture but was under seasoned, and the fish inside was mushy. The ambience was that if a classic British pub, so that was cool. I would go back for lunch maybe and order something else.

   Reasonable food marred by an unpleasant host. We reserved a table for 4 and there were 2 tables for 4 in the bar area. We tried to sit at the window table and the host insisted ours was the one in the back. We asked to be allowed to sit at the nicer table but he insisted that someone else had reserved that one. By the time we had finished our meal there was still no one seated at the window table. When we pointed that out after paying our bill he apologized but had no explanation for why he had refused to allow us to sit there. What terrible customer service.

   Very cosy and nice ambiance. Good service. We had the camembert in the oven. This was tasteless. Would not recommend. Others had the fish and chips which was good. I had the chicken kiev.. again not very tasty.. However, we had a nice evening and the wine was good!

    Good food (except basic pudding) and nice table service. We were asked to leave (increasingly unpleasantly) from 10pm as they were closing. This being an unusually early time (it was Dec 30th) I feel we should have been warned in advance that we would have to go by then. Our waitress was also uncomfortable when asked if she would get the 12.5% service charge….overall not impressed
