Restaurant Anima bringing a new fine dining experience to the village of Braunton.

Carla Jones is a renowned and experienced chef who has previously won 3 AA rosettes, lead previous kitchens into the Michelin guide and has represented England Culinary team competing in the IKA olympics 2024.

Carla and her team offer a relaxed, yet breathtaking menu, based on local produce and utilising North Devon's abundant resources. Our goal is to showcase the best of Carla's skills as well as create truly memorable evenings for our guests.

We offer a A La Carte ,Tasting Menu, Wine Flight, Cocktails, and many surprises along the way. We will be open Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner. We will be taking bookings up to 6 people for any bigger parties please contact us directly.

Absolutely first class cooking. Good menu with fresh choices; beautifully presented and prepared. Interesting and well chosen wine list. We were very impressed and wished we had Anima closer to home.

A magnificent experience, from start to end. Fantastic food and service, and a very warm, welcoming ambiance generated by the wonderful, generous hospitality. A big massive THANK YOU to Carla and Georgia. They really made my birthday extra special. I now have a strong motivation to endure the long drive from London. Good luck beautiful souls, and hope your story will be hugely successful.

Absolutely delicious tasting menu on Saturday evening. Every course was thoroughly enjoyed by me and my husband. Beautiful ingredients and plenty of it. Warm and friendly front of house service.

Amazing place for a dining experience. Beautiful food and ambience. The taster menu was incredible, and great value for fine dining. Waitress and chef were both lovely. Highly recommend a visit

Seasonably changing menu every month, very generous portions for a tasting menu. Everything was delicious and the wine pairings were great too. Great value for money and a very intimate cosy setting. Will definitely be back again!

Thank you Anima for a great evening of food & drink. We were a table of 4, one of our party is allergic to shellfish (which when I booked) I didn’t know, but on the evening they managed to accommodate his needs. Everything we had was amazing, we will definitely be returning.

The meal was served quickly and the menu was explained when asked. The staff were very helpful. The meal itself was delicious, lovely flavours. Would definitely visit again.

Great food , we had the Valentine tasting menu, all of the courses were amazing. We will be back to check out the a la carte menu!

This was our second visit to Anima Dining and our second excellent meal. The menu was a well thought out blend of local, seasonal and less well known ingredients cooked and presented beautifully. Whilst the portion sizes appear small, the richness of ingredients ensures that one leaves feeling perfectly satisfied. It’s the ideal place to celebrate a special occasion. We are lucky to have this fine dining gem on our doorstep and we will return again.

Lovely pop up quality restaurant with great tastes. Interesting combination of dishes. Great to see English sparkling wine on the menu too.
