Second time eating at Antico Nuovo and not as good as the first time. First the good part, - Food: the focaccia, plin dell’ Alta langa and the pollo e crostone were excellent as was the pistachio gelato. - Service: Rebecca was our server and was very good. She was very attentive and courteous. - Ambiance: the place was full of patrons with a vibrant ambiance, loud at times. - The not so good: the caponata was not very good. Essentially some marianated onion with eggplant but no olives to be found and pricey. The kingfish crudo was below average and overpriced. The spaghetti ricci di mare was inedible. Very salty and had to returned. - Value: not very good for the quality of the food. A restaurant of the category should have an impeccably tasting menu.

We really wanted to love this place, we’ve been waiting to try it for over the year. The food was absolutely mediocre with insane prices that aren’t justified at all and it’s all just hype. Every dish was a complete miss and we tried a good variety. They were all really underseasoned, except the pasta which was over salted. It was at least al dente. Caesar was soggy and swamped in flavorless dressing , just tasted like mayo. Also our neighbouring Ceaser looked like it had way less dressing and was really inconsistent. The caponata tasted nothing like caponata and was also lacking so much salt and acid. Focaccia was ok, fluffy and warm, but not enough salt nor anything reminiscing of a good quality oil. We couldn’t taste any good quality olive oil in any dish!!! The burrata quality was terrible and the scallion oil that tasted nothing like scallion, also missing salt and acid. The chicken was pretty dry with a flavorless salsa verde and a soggy wet foccacia, which was just a hard pass. We were soooo disappointed we didn’t even get dessert. It was a 300$ meal without alcohol and dessert, absolutely outrageous! For anyone that has been to Europe and tried the real thing, knows that this is just not even close.

The ambiance is fantastic, with dimmed lighting and rustic furniture creating a cozy vibe. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a variety of great options. We started with a glass of Albariño and the crudo (it came first). The Albariño from Galicia was a lovely choice. As for the crudo, it was absolutely perfect. The flavors were spot on and set the tone beautifully for the rest of the meal. Then, the focaccia paired with Whipped Ricotta and Pistachio Pesto—absolutely divine and a must-try! The dishes are perfect for sharing family-style. The pasta was excellent, and the fish was perfectly prepared. But the highlight of the meal was THE SEADA! I was about to order the recommended Pistachio Crunch when I spotted my all-time favorite dessert on the menu. Seadas?! Incredible! Thank you for this delightful surprise—my Sardinian heart was overjoyed!
