   This place is my go-to for a delicious meal! The food is absolutely incredible, and I’ve never had a bad experience here. The wait staff are super friendly and always ready to help.

   This was our 6th experience at Appalachia. It’s always a great experience. On this very cold night the roaring fire was very much appreciated. Of the short ribs, sea bass and the NC blackened shrimp ordered by our table, the shrimp dish was the best. The winter salad was a hit. Service as always was very attentive. This was a first visit for the couple with us, they decided it was their new favorite. A splendid and tasty evening for all.

   I had the flank steak with potato and asparagus. It was incredibly delicious. Perfectly prepared and served. I highly recommend Appalachia at the Lodge. Everyone worked hard to make it a wonderful experience and it was indeed maybe the best dining experience I have had.

   Great place all around! They were out of the wagyu steak which was #1 on my list to try but I chose the bison short rib and couldn't have been happier. Twisting my arm... ok I'll be back for the wagyu. The wedge salad was fresh! The pork belly with kimchi aioli hit all the right notes as an appetizer. My wife had the blackened shrimp and said it was incredible. We finished things off with the confetti cake. The texture took it up a notch! For an upscale casual dining experience it checks all of the boxes. You should make reservations now!

    This was our first time here after buying a second home in Lake Lure. It was outstanding! Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends and family with us!
