If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst dining experience at a supposedly good restaurant we had ever had Everything about our time there was HORRIBLE. Bad food Horrible service Inept management It was so bad my wife never ate anything and I had to make her an omelet when we got back home So the night: Ordered a bottle of wine. Waiter poured glasses and then took the bottle back to the bar and recorked it. Finally came back and put the corked bottle on the table (?????) Salad was inedible as the dressing was way over salted Likewise the risotto was also way too salty The filet ordered medium arrived well done. Was sent back and told "5 minutes" - 20 minutes later a filet finally arrived and it was rare. We alerted our waiter who said "It's not my fault" Are you serious? Asked for manager who comes over and starts the apologizing. We are done and just want to leave. We say we are going to drink our wine and leave. 5 minutes later manager comes back with 2 of the wait staff and basically tells them to apologize. Is this kindergarten? The last thing we wanted at that point was forced insincere apologies. And it gets worse. When confronted by saying "It's not my fault" the waiter doubled down and said "I didn't say that!" We got up and just walked out. We will never be back

Food was amazing, our server did not speak great English which caused some wrong orders to come through. He was really nice, but communication was difficult.

The food was absolutely disgusting. I must’ve changed the chef since prior to Covid. The food used to be really good here and consistent. This was one of my favorite places and I can’t believe how horrible everything was. The onion soup was sour. The sole was had no flavor. The veal schnitzel was disgusting. Was essentially a large thin piece of breadcrumbs without any veal. The waitress was very nice about it and took it off the bill and they apologized. However, I will not be going there again until I hear about whether or not they got a new chef. Clearly whoever is doing the cooking doesn’t know the first thing about French cuisine. I rarely write reviews, but I thought that it was important to let the restaurant know that changes need to be made.

Aquitaine is my favorite restaurant, always a pleasure to be at and seldom disappointing in any regard. On my most recent visit they were out of the non pareil French Onion Soup, which is generally worth a long journey to enjoy, and this explains my mere 4 star rating for the food. What I ate was delicious, as always. And the service NEVER FAILS TO EXCEED ALL EXPECTATIONS, ever! Last night took that to a new level.

Outstanding food preparation, great drinks. Service is always excellent and fish dishes perfectly prepared. Escargot is perfect along with chocolate pudding dessert.
