   my wife and I were at Pursell Farms to celebrate her birthday. we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Arrington. it has a stately, yet comfortable feel and the food was fantastic. for appetizer I had butternut squash ravioli and my wife a pear and mozarella salad, and for entree I had the pan-seared halibut and my wife had steamed mussels. everythig was well-prepared and delicious. we do want to show our appreciation to all the staff at Arrington. Diane, Darlene (I think) and Marlee #2 were welcoming, cordial and engaging, and they provided excellent service. and of course, our compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff! thanks to all at Arrington for the great service and food!

   For an upscale restaurant the food was barely acceptable. Menu is fixe price and the choices for each course were limited. Appetizers offered were fat belly tacos and 2 selections that included raw fish. The soup was one choice - lobster bisque- no salads of any kind offered . The bisque was cold. Main courses were steak, chicken with goat cheese, and a fish dish. Three at table had the steak which was a good piece of meat but only one cooked as ordered. And the vegetable with the steak was 2 pieces of asparagus. The chicken was not as described on menu. Desserts were left mostly uneaten. The best thing on the table was the bread and butter, 5 stars for the bread. The wait staff was excellent. Setting is beautiful. Maybe we were there on an “off” evening.

   Our server was wonderful. I can’t say the same about the food. Our steaks were over done, sent back and still over done. The fried green tomatoes seemed like prepackaged frozen food. The salad was pretty good. The best part of the meal was dessert. Pursell Farms is fabulous we will just stick to the Pub for food next time. Much better and less expensive.

   Our experience at Arrington was wonderful. The meal was amazing, service was friendly, and excellent, and the dining room was elegant. My only suggestion would be to update the music a bit. I feel a smoothie jazz selection might have been more soothing than the music selection playing during our dinner. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.

   Staying at Pursell Farms, it was a great option since there isn’t much nearby. Very set menu. We looked on line on our drive down from Atlanta. When we received the menu, it had changed. Made us nervous but were very happy with the result. Had Filet for the main course and it was fantastic. It was a 4 course meal that took about 2 hours to complete but the staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice.

   We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast at Arrington. The menu had lots of great options, and the quality of our food was wonderful. Our server was also very kind!

    Atmosphere was amazing, food tasted amazing, and the staff were so nice. Also my date was pretty stunning too, so that made the night already.
