   This was our first time to dine here. It was great. The food was amazing. The service was great. The cocktails were terrific. We for sure will be back and tell others.

   My wife and I went here for dinner for Valentines Day, because it was the only place remotely close (with availability) to the Aragon before a concert we were attending. Not sure if it was the Valentine’s Day surge pricing or what, but the food was decent, but not very generously portioned for $125/ea + alcohol/ tax/ service. The wine list is also weak. The atmosphere is more of a bar/music venue that’s trying to be upscale for dinner… doesn’t work. Service is good, but for ~$400 for 2 people there are a million other places in the city you can go. We won’t be back.

   Overall the food here is amazing. I love the ceviche and the steak is the best I’ve had in a while. Service was a little shaky. One of our empanadas was ice cold , so we sent it back. Then it took several reminders to get the replacement—almost 20 minutes. The food is really, really good though, so if you can overlook some service issues, it’s worth it.

   Beautiful restaurant with a very cosy ambience. Service and food were exceptional. We took grilled octopus and melted cheese as starters. Then shared beef steaks - cooked to perfection. The live music and tango was a plus and it created a very energetic atmosphere. Our sever Javier was very attentive and his service was exceptional. Highly recommended.

   -Not enough servers for my party size -Too many mistakes for a reservation that was made 3 weeks in advance -Too loud to communicate and wait time for food and beverages were way too long

   Stressful getting seated on time as we were 30 minutes late for our reservation and had a show to go to. Once we were seated though everything went smooth. Waiter was great, food came on time and was delicious and drinks good.

   We had unbelievable service and food and we were able to see some of the flamenco dancing. Unfortunately, they were understaffed at the bar and unable to keep up with getting cocktails out during restaurant week so we ended up getting our pre-dinner cocktails during our entree. We have gone several times and always great, I recommend trimming the cocktail menu during restaurant week.

   Even with a reservation we were not able to dine here. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and took 15 minutes just to check in as the hostess was cleaning tables and trying to get occupied tables who had already paid to leave. There was a line out the door just to check in at least 20 people. We waited 10 more minutes and determined based on how the line was progressing we were not going to be seated much less eat anytime soon. They should have closed off ability to make a reservation, everyone in line had a reservation. Very poor execution just to get us in the door. We will try again I guess.

    I would say that the food was just okay. I had high hopes because of everything I had heard. However, my husband says that it might not have been the best because it was part of restaurant week and they have to cut corners to make it “fit” the reduced menu price. I do not agree because I have found amazing restaurants during restaurant week they have made me want to return, hands down. I do not have those sentiments for Artango. The steak was really delicious and the live music was soothing to the ear, but aside from those two items, I would not return. We had reservations, so we were seated fairly quickly. The water was very refreshing, the cocktail was good, the appetizer was okay. I ordered the ceviche tuna and hubby the salad. We ordered additional empanadas because we knew the Chicago restaurant week menu wouldn’t have been enough. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium and the chimichurri was unique. It wasn’t the typical chimichurri but it was flavorful. It had fresh herbs in it. The dessert was a standard flan and hubby had the chocolate cake that was not good. Overall, it was a nice evening.
