If you’re in Leytonstone and you want a steak grilled to perfection, head to Asado Steakhouse with your appetite at the ready. Here, the steaks are done the Argentine way and prepared simply alongside only natural, organic ingredients. But there’s also much more on the menu as well as steak, like the Asado gourmet burgers, braised beef ribs, perfect lamb shank and plenty of fresh fish and seafood. Asado Steakhouse itself is cool and stylish yet welcoming and unpretentious, and you’ll find it right on Leytonstone’s High Road, up the road from Maryland train station. Reservations are very wise, particularly at the weekend.

The steak was actually pretty good, okay. It's everything else that was quite of a disappointment. Steak was served as the loneliest thing in a big white plate, not a salad leaf, nothing to even decorate or bring another colour to this poor lonely steak. I got some blue cheese sauce with the steak, I honestly had better blue cheese sauce with a steak in many places including Wetherspoon, how could you not do as good or better? This is very confusing. I ordered chips on the side, they were actually pretty uncooked and couldn't finish them even though I was fairly hungry, Asado, you claim your chefs have worked with Gordon Ramsay, how dare you serve that to customers? Wetherspoon cooks chips better for almost a tenth of the price, a shame. We had a couple of cocktails but again nothing out of the ordinary for the price, please Asado make an effort to make your customers feel they're getting some value for the price. This is quite frustrating overall. We paid nearly a hundred quids for a fairly average 1 course meal for 2. I am very unlikely to come back nor to recommend that place at this point. To finish with I heard real good feedback about that place, which, on a Friday night, was surprisingly empty. Maybe fake feedback from friends and sad investors to try and get the place to somehow take off I'm now thinking.
