    We love this place. The owner visited the table last night explain how decided to purchase. It had everything to do with the staff. Allen is our favorite server in the city. He has a natural ability to connect with his customers. We will ask for Allen every time we visit.

    The last two times we have dined at Ata we have ordered two desserts -- first, the cheese cake and the next time, the lemon cake -- both had very little flavor which was disappointing given the overall quality of the food at this restaurant.

    This was our first time dining at the restaurant. We had reservations, and were seated immediately, however it was about 15 minutes until we met our server. We had 7:45 reservations, and so sadly they were out of a couple menu items by the time we were served. That said, I ordered the fried chicken special, which came with a salad. The salad being one of the items they didn’t have, so they offered the beet salad as substitute. Our food however was served, and they had not brought said salad. They did bring it finally, about mid way thru the meal. The chicken itself was breaded nicely, mashed potato’s were nothing special, succotash was good. My friend order the squid ink pasta which was cooked perfectly but the taste of the dish was not cohesive. You immediately got an overpowering lemon taste, followed by crab aftertaste. It was not bad by any means, just very disjointed in the flavor profile. The chef was very nice, visiting all of the tables and seemed to appreciate the feedback. We will visit again, but likely at an earlier time slot as hopefully we will have better luck with menu options and better service.

    We had not been to ATA since Anoosh Bistro changed hands. We were pleasantly surprised by the new touches including opening up the bar area. Food was wonderful. The fried green tomato appetizer is a must. Our server Alan was a delight. He was upbeat, engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. We were also able to meet Chef Danielson which was a treat. We will be back!

    Although I miss Anoosh Bistro, ATA is a very good sequel to that restaurant. Chef/owner came out to say hi. Keila our wait staff was very nice. Drinks were really good. Food was on par. I missed Anoosh’s cheese bread that was served before dinner and unfortunately there was no bread before the meal at ATA. Overall a very nice experience and I wish ATA well.

    We were huge Anoosh fans and were so disappointed when it changed owners, so that’s the reason it took us a year to visit Ata. However, we were not disappointed at all. The food and presentation was EXCELLENT and at a very reasonable price point. The new owner and chef, David, was friendly and very kind. While all of our food was wonderful, the standouts to us were the fried ribs, the Caesar salad, the short rib, the fried chicken and the chefs special cheesecake. Go check them out! There’s a reason why they have 5 stars!
