   My wife and I waited a year to experience Augie's and we were very much pleased to enjoy authentic French cuisine here in Santa Rosa. Thank you for the quality and dedication to the French traditions.

   Amazingly, Augie's French does NOT have a Cesar Salad on the menu. I know, unheard of, right? While that, in and of itself, is reason enough to celebrate Angie's with 5 stars, the rest of the menu is well conceived, and well executed. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's a bistro, so that is also welcome. This is about standard offerings, that deliver what they promise. Pretty much the definition of a bistro and the reason why I'll return to Augie's often.

   Excellent service, great food. The duck confit was sublime. The chocolate mousse was VERY rich and dense, almost like a truffle- I could only eat a few bites. They have an excellent wine selection and the upstairs is adorable and totally reminds me of Paris! As ever at Stark’s restaurants they had an awesome gluten-free menu and I didn’t feel like I went without anything even though I have Celiac disease. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

   Ben was our server and he was impeccable with assisting us in our selection and paring. The duck confit was out of this world, our special was the black cod and that was sur le point! melted in the mouth. Escargo was merveilleux, and the onion soup délicieux ;)

   The restaurant has lots of open space between tables, so no cross conversation. The food is prepared the "French Way", with care, love, attention, lots of butter, and somewhat high prices. The Dover Sole fish entry is a whole fish; half way through the cooking it is removed, then fully de-boned, and then returned for continued cooking. WOWOWOW!! An 3 egg omelette is filled with soft gentle cheese and literally melts in your mouth. Worth the price.

   Very sweet French Bistro. Food is traditional. Yummy dressing on the butter lettuce salad. Would be better for some if the lettuce was torn in to pieces instead of the full head. A bit challenging to cut it at a small bistro table. We enjoyed the poulet and frites. Nice service. Pricy for lunch - would go again for special treat.

   Lady server was friendly, pretty attentive and got the orders right. Cocktails were perfect. Oysters were fresh, escargot amazing and steak frites delicious and a perfect medium rare! We’ll be back!

    Loving the lunch menu - we had onion soup (how can you ever not order that), butternut squash soup and tuna tartare. What a delicious lunch- but wait there’s more! We topped it off with Creme brûlée- creamy and the top was crack able.
