   Avana exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a chic yet cozy vibe. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The ambiance is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is top-notch.    Was super excited to experience another part of the restaurant owner’s collections of elevated cuisines. The overall experience was a delight to celebrate my Forever (40+) birthday shenanigans.

   The service was impeccable but the lobster bisque tasted like it was thickened with potato flakes. It did not have any lobster or a seafood taste. Jerk skewers were good & shrimp scampi was nice.

   I would like to say first impressions are EVERYTHING and AVANA has met mine for sure! I walked in and told the hostess I had a reservation, and she greeted me by name, I thought that was very professional. The hostess then, walked me to my seat, and kinda allowed me preferential seating, being as though it was a small crowd(it was a Tuesday night). My server came right over with dinnerware and menus as she introduced herself, very polite young lady! I am a stickler for customer service and AVANA HAS IT DOWN PACKED!!!! My server gave me some very good recommendations and I ordered the deviled eggs with catfish, as a starter, which were HEAVENLY! I then ordered, the AMAZING Oxtail and Greens w/peppers personal pizza and I can eat that EVERYDAY! For dessert, I got the banana pudding cheese cake and again, NOT DISAPPOINTED! The flavors of everything I ordered were exceptionally UNIQUE, especially the pizza! I would have never thought to have the combination of Soul food and Italian but the Chef at AVANA definitely got it RIGHT! The ambiance…customer service…aesthetic…food…music…vibe…down to the pricing…I will definitely come back!

   Had a really good time at Avana. The music was great…nice blend of genres and eras, while remaining at a volume where conversation still flowed easily. Our server was so sweet and provided great service and detailed recommendations (s/o Anya’e!). Loved the ambiance and wishing Avana all of the success

   I was really excited to dine here, having enjoyed other locations under the brand & absolutely loving the gorgeous ambiance of this space. The restaurant has a stunning aesthetic—the pink lounge seating & barstools are a fabulous touches. Pluses: - Our waitress, Rachel, was outstanding, delivering warm service. - Kudos to the kitchen on our best items—the Pepper Pot Shrimp (served creatively over popcorn!), Catfish Bite Deviled Eggs, Jerk Chicken Skewers, and Buffalo Cauliflower were flavorful highlights. - The DJ on-site adds a great vibe that sets the tone for an amazing night out. That said, there are a few areas where improvements could elevate the experience to match the potential of this beautiful space: - Timeliness of Service The restaurant wasn’t overly crowded, yet it took a surprisingly long time for our drinks to arrive—2 of them seemed forgotten altogether, including a virgin Moscow mule (essentially soda). Faster drink service would definitely enhance the guest experience. -Food Temps While the seasoning on my Jerk Chicken Skewers was excellent, they were lukewarm at best. My friend’s table-side Spicy Fettuccine Vodka was also served cold, which was particularly surprising given it was prepared right in front of us. - Pricing vs. Value I truly appreciate a fine dining experience & don’t mind paying for quality, but some pricing felt disproportionate to what was offered. For instance: •$18 for a bread basket w/just 3 items felt excessive & might be better positioned as complimentary or at a lower price point. •$35 table-side Caesar salad (plus $10 to table of 5) didn’t live up to expectations; the lettuce was bitter & seemed wilted. Other high-end restaurants deliver a more memorable & balanced Caesar at a more approachable price. Sincerely, hoping they are able to refine these elements because it has so much potential. The ambiance & creative spins on some items are strong foundations. With some refinement the experience could be elevated.

   I did not enjoy my experience at Avana. As a tenant at Parktown Place, I felt I was treated unfairly. The food was disappointing, and the owner spent the night walking around with a noticeably bad attitude. I most likely won’t be returning, but I genuinely hope they improve their professionalism and create a better experience for those who choose to visit in the future.

   The service here is unbelievable (and not in a positive way). There is no sense of customer satisfaction or comfortability. They had us waiting at least for 10 minutes at the podium to check in. Then when we had no desire to sit directly in front of the two bathrooms, the hostess was visibly unpleased by the request and sat us in the “lobby”. While we were understanding that we requested the change, we still wanted to know what this “lobby” offered while we waited for an alternate table. There was no communication that eased our wait (for example, “feel free to enjoy a cocktail from the bar while you wait”). We also knew someone from another table who was celebrating a birthday, so we went over to greet, asked their waiter could a drink be put on our tab…this was treated like the most “annoying request” of the evening to find out where we were seated. Anyway, she (the waiter) ended up printing out a check and having us pay on the spot (again, unbelievable at an establishment that wants to be regarded as “high end”). We finally got to interact with our amazing waiter, Rachael who treated us the RIGHT way, but unfortunately we had enough; thus, we got a cocktail and pivoted to another restaurant. Sad to say, but we’ve experienced similar service at their other collective restaurants, Fia and Amina! I tried and won’t patronize again.

   The experience and ambience was nothing short of amazing. Our service Rachel very knowledgeable of the menu and Mike the bartender made the best raspberry lemon drop ever. The owner even came to the table to make sure everything was going well. I will definitely go back.

    A friend and I dined at Avana this past weekend. Let me start by saying that the parking is not fun. The restaurant awkwardly sits on the parkway where there are one-way roads. Once you get to the restaurant, it is beautiful. The ambiance is cozy, warm, inviting, and has a nice vibe. The entrance area is the bar and couches; as you walk further into the space, there are tables. However, the space is narrow and can be cluttered. We sat directly in front of the kitchen. I didn’t love that because there was a lot of foot movement. The restaurant had only been open a little over a week during our visit. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We started with appetizers, and I got the cheesesteak churros, an interesting concept that had a weird texture battle. I didn’t care for them. My friend felt that her oysters were all cheese and no oysters. She did enjoy her drink. My main meal was the under-the-brick Amish chicken. And it was delicious—a small meal, but mighty. I also got a side of Mac and cheese, which I asked to be baked longer after tasting it. The chef spoke to each table, telling us about the concept and asking for our thoughts and feedback. I appreciated that. All in all, I enjoyed my time at Avana. I did feel like the food was overpriced, but I would return.
