   I have mixed feelings about the review as the junior staff were courteous and attentive. The manager was nothing short of rude,unhelpful and inconsiderate. I had brought a paper to read over breakfast as I was dining solo. On leaving I inadvertently left the supplement that I was in the middle of reading. Within minutes I returned to retrieve same. What followed was nothing short of appalling. When I asked the manager about my supplement they were unhelpful,disinterested and rude. This raised my hackles and I commented on the lack of customer service. There was no empathy whatsoever. Or willingness to resolve the issue. Ironically one of the table waiters had put the supplement on the side and not in the bin. Had the manager even been slightly proactive in attempting to retrieve the supplement all would have been well and it would have been a fine example of good customer service. On the other hand I won’t be back. It was my first and last visit. There is plenty competition!

   restaurant very pleasant, the experience amazing. Really good customer service overall. The Manager was very polite and offered me and my family a table. Very happy with my experience.

   Whilst the food was good, the waiting time was an hour and the service was even worse. The staff couldn’t have been ruder if they tried, we had to up and ask to be served twice, the second time they made a joke to the next waiter and laughed. When we were leaving another table came up to us and commented on how bad their experience was also, no need to go to Karen’s diner, it’s here in Ballsbridge but for a 5 star price!

   We had booked a table for 11am but it wasn’t ready when we got there. Service was slow. Table of four beside us had 2 young children running up and down the length of the seated bench shouting. Very chaotic! Food was nice but was cold.

   Love Avoca normally. Regular for years. Booked a table for 2 . 45 minutes in we were asked to move to another table to accommodate another bigger party. Bizarre, as it was prebooked and a not walk in. They offered coffee on the house, but I think they completely missed the point. It's very disruptive to move a prebooked table mid session. Please organise seating plan better so as to make the dining experience better.

   Food was very nice, service was good at the start but had to ask for the bill 3 times over a 10 min period, e ded up just going to the til to pay

   Delicious carrot soup with super soft and yummy bread. Espresso macchiato could be improved but overall very good quality.

   lovely brunch , service very prompt and lovely smiling waiters however service is slow after you eat main course, i am a regular to Avoca Ballsbridge, managers could be more welcoming, smile and be happy to see you - slow to catch the eye of waiter when ordering coffees / desserts -they are very busy and close after lunch so i feel they want to get you out. Not much choice of salads or side salads on menu

   Popped in for brunch 9:15am, nice & quiet so plenty of space & not too noisy. Food very nice, big portions, nice staff. Coffee very good!

    Slow service, a few things were not on the menu, the server never informed us. So we were let down while ordering. A staff member also dropped his cloths on the floor but proceeded to pick it up and continued to clean the tables. Menus were also grubby and had food on them. Disappointed for Avoca standards.
