   Phenomenal meal. Great service at the table! They need to do a better job helping to secure cabs for their guests after dinner. We waited a long time and I had to try and flag a cab on the roadside. If they want return customers, this is an important item as we are hesitant to go back based solely on the cab situation.

   We booked AZAR blind, didn’t read too much on it and just saw it was close and had availability. WOW, to say we scored in an understatement…we were blown away. Starting with the Smoked Rum Old Fashioned…brought to the table under a dome filled with fragrant woodsmoke, this was a crafted cocktail that impressed across all the senses. We had 6 of the 11 apptz offered…all fabulous (but I am still thinking on how tender their octopus was). The mains were very generously sized and each had a custom tweak that made them unique to AZAR; fire grill pichana, branzino, the shrimp salad and an over-the-top cowboy cut steak that even our 19 yr old carnivore had to rally to finish. Desserts..the Black Forest Brownie and the Churros were killer. Our server, Maria, was a pro throughout..including with the wine pairing, she was great. Mgmt stopped by and checked in, always a nice touch and confirmed that AZAR is a top dining choice in Aruba

   We visited Azar twice on our weeklong trip to Aruba and it was wonderful both times! The food is excellent and the service really stands out. Our second visit was for my husband’s birthday, which is also Valentine’s Day, and the restaurant had a Valentine’s photobooth set up for guests, which was a really nice touch, and they brought out a birthday dessert for my husband. Great experience—highly recommend for a nice night out!

   Food is excellent! One of our top 3 faves in Aruba! Also, beautiful setting! Easy to access from Palm Beach resorts. We are sure to dine here every year!

   Server Nicolas took great care of us. Didn’t rush us at all and was very authentic in his approach. We had the octopus and grilled romaine to start and shared the Peruvian chicken. All delicious. The smoked old fashioned is a must. Outstanding cuisine and service. Just wish we had a table inside as it was quite hot on the terrace.

   We really enjoyed Azar in our last trip, and was looking forward to it this trip. Unfortunately, the food was not up to par on our visit this trip. We ate out each being during our 19 day stay, so I’m using that as my base review. Ordered martini which took a very long time to get. It tasted like the ice that was used to shake the drink was melted and really watered down the drink. The portion on their octopus appetizer was super small compared to other restaurants we order a similar octopus app. DH order the short ribs, if tasted fine. But, for $52, portion was very small, and we are not big portion eaters, but an adequate amount should be served. I ordered the chicken, it was smoked, so I knew it was fine, but it was cool. So, all in all, compared to the other 18 dinners, we will skip Azar’s next visit.

   Lacks atmosphere. Pricing is outrageous. $50 for fish entre and $69 for steak. Be real. El Gaucho steak much much better and much less
