   First time we have been to Azouma and I could not recommend it enough. It was fantastic. The service was excellent, the food was just perfect, flavoursome, the meat was of a very high quality. Was a perfect evening.

   Overall the food was pretty good, albeit there were quite varying levels in the dishes we had. My wife and I both went for the full menu (mixed mezze starters with tagine mains). My lamb tagine was absolutely lovely, full of flavour with really nice tender slow cooked lamb. My wife’s chicken tagine wasn’t as good, so we ended up sharing! The chicken was dry where it had been cooked separate to the tagine then added after, rather than being cooked in the stew itself. That was a bit disappointing in a Moroccan restaurant where tagines are really the stars of the show. The starters had the same inconsistency. The chicken parcels and the parcels with melted cheese were both really good. We loved those. The falafels weren’t great; dry and some warm, some cold. I would certainly return but would now choose more strategically from the menu, ordering just the best bits, having experienced some lovely dishes and some pretty average.

   Initial impression was good however food wasn’t great. One starter was off, told the waitress but no feedback or apology. All of us had tagine which was disappointingly bland although cooked ok. Maybe it was an off night but overall disappointed.

   The weekday lunchtime buffets are far superior to the evening played service. The food was ok but no wow factor, we left a fair bit.

   Beautiful venue, fabulous food, efficient and friendly service and good value for money. Lebanese wine on the menu was a bonus! Would recommend in a heart-beat.
