   Very pleasant atmosphere—definitely one of San Salvador’s best high-end options. Great location for a dinner date. The food quality is excellent in both appearance and flavor. The cocktails are also well made, and their presentation is very good. The owners are very friendly and will ensure that all your needs are met during your visit.

   During my visit to El Salvador from New York, I had the pleasure of dining at Azteca, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and stylish yet authentic Mexican decor set the tone for a great evening. The space feels modern while still embracing the warmth and vibrancy of Mexican culture. I started with the Aguachile de Atún, which was incredibly fresh, well-balanced, and packed with just the right amount of spice. For my main course, I had the Medallones de Costilla de Res, which were perfectly cooked and full of rich, deep flavors. To accompany the meal, I ordered a bottle of red wine, and the bartender was extremely knowledgeable in helping me select the perfect pairing. As a New Yorker who enjoys a good cocktail, I can confidently say that Azteca’s cocktails are excellent—expertly crafted and truly impressive. One of the highlights of my visit was meeting the owners. The restaurant is family-run, with a talented chef bringing authentic flavors to the kitchen and two brothers ensuring everything runs smoothly in the front of the house. Their warmth, hospitality, and passion for the restaurant were evident, making the dining experience even more special. Azteca is a must-visit in San Salvador—whether you’re a local or just passing through. The combination of exceptional food, expertly made drinks, and a welcoming, family-driven atmosphere makes it a place I’ll definitely return to on my next trip. Highly recommend!

   The owners were very welcoming, the food was amazing and the drinks were so delicious. We will definitely be back before the end of our trip. The prices are like the prices out in LA so a bit pricier but totally worth it.

   The Chile en nogada and the corn bread were amazing! we tried the esquite too which was really good. The drinks were amazing too and really great presentation. Overall experience was really good!

   The filet was the most tender I’ve eaten in El Salvador and the preparation was perfect. Everyone should try the corn cake dessert.

    Nice place to eat, quite overpriced for what you get. Food was ok, not outstanding... $15.00 for an order of regular tacos with way too much lettuce on top, seems quite off in my opinion, I tried their version of pastor and they were just good. Cocktails are really amazing, not cheap but you really get the value for what you pay, kudos to the bartender. Place is also ok, but the staff attention is truly outstanding, all the personnel was kind and attentive to any of our needs, fast and accurate.
