Azuki Sushi is in Banker’s Hill, centrally-located in the heart of San Diego. We are within walking distance of Balboa Park, The Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, and Hillcrest.

We have been providing a modern approach to the rich traditions of Japanese cooking for over 15 years. We pride ourselves in our charming and boutique setting. We offer a warm and inviting atmosphere for those wishing to indulge in our culinary delights.

As in Japan, the menu is based on the seasons, savoring the peak flavor of the ingredients. Our outstanding chefs deliver the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine, respecting the individual ingredients’ natural flavors.

Haven’t been in 10 yrs, but the food is great and took a friend for his birthday as I had previously recommended it to him and he loved it. I will for sure get back into making my weekly visits for dinner. 🥰

Every time we visit the area we make a stop here. We’ve had amazing experiences each time. Food is always on point, trust for great quality and flavors. This last time we noted the service was different than previous. It was prompt, but almost on the side of rude. We got the feeling that our just being there was an inconvenience. Never a great feeling on a night out.

Superb!! We had the Adventurous Sashimi chosen by the chef. Finished up with oysters and toro fouro (not called that but it certainly should be!). VERY glad we came!

Food was delicious as always, not a single thing wasn’t fully devoured. Unfortunately service was a little rough this time around. My table of 4 ordered a round of miso soups which we never received and were still charged for, we had to remind our waiter of plates that we haven’t received yet, and then it was noted we were celebrating a birthday but it was not remembered until we had asked for a candle in our dessert (which they sadly don’t do!). Still the experience was great and our tummies were happy, but was a little disappointed with the service from the waiter.
