   It was nice. The only complain is that our food came too slow. We waited more than usual for it. But overall was good.

   The evening started off beautifully, a great dining room, the waitstaff friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine and our dinner. beef carpaccio, kale salad with the truffle polenta to accompany and the squid ink pasta with calamari. The beef carpaccio and kale salad were arriving as planned. The polenta arrived after the salad. We waited for over 1 hour for the pasta. The table next to us waited a very long time for their pasta and we joked that they must be making it fresh in the back. The waitress came to see if everything was ok and we said yes thinking our pasta was on the way. She never asked us anything else. The pasta never came. She immediately said oh, I can give you dessert on us. It was the strangest experience. She never asked or brought the dessert menu or asked if we wanted coffee. If she had asked, we would have reminded her we were waiting for our pasta dish. It was as if we never ordered it and we know we did because she said she would have the kitchen split it for us. She forgot. The one thing about a restaurant, I have more respect for them if they acknowledge they made a mistake instead of blaming it on the customer. I guess they were never taught the customer is always right. It is too bad. I will never go back. What was even more amazing was the manager let us out and never asked us about our dinner. It is like the chef left and decided not to cook the remaining dishes. Everyone knew but us. Do not go to this restaurant.

   We ordered 2 appetizers: shaved octopus and oysters and both were very good. My husband ordered the beef cheeks pasta and he said they were very good. I ordered the squid ink (black) pasta which was also good. Not the best I've ever had, but it was pretty good, The drink I ordered was good and the wine was as well. Our waiter was great, very personable. It was all very good. I'd like to try something else another time though. Our bill was over $200 so it was a special night out; not something we could do all the time.

   Party of four with our two daughters, extremely enjoyable all the way around! Tried multiple new dishes, excellent as always!! Wonderful weather, mellow, thank you!

    This is such a special place. Wonderful ambience and decor, delicious food and wonderful service. It has become one of my favorites in Hughes Landing. Can’t wait to be back.
