To us, BABs is a place for friends, or those who will soon be. BABs is a casual energetic place with yummy food, authentic hospitality, great libations and friendly faces.

We cook ingredient driven food where inspiration comes from our personal experiences or one of the many cultures represented in our area, past and present. Our cooking is inspired by small local farms, using ingredients that are seasonal and raised or caught with care.

New Orleans is our home. It’s a place with an amazing sense of community where we’ve created meaningful relationships, and met extraordinary people along the way. We’re excited to continue feeding visitors and the people like us, who call it home.

    The dinner experience could not have been better. Every single thing we ordered was better and had an unusual take on the presentation and recipe. Everyone in our group concurred that every detail was remarkable! Our server, Lola, was excellent!!

    Great place , a little off the beaten path but worth the trek , we loved the appetizers and special for the day , price reasonable and would definitely go back .

    Excellent food . We had the octopus (best ever!) Chopped sales to share ; loved it especially the dressing yum.. I had the wagu lasagna, it was the best ever! My husband had the shrimp dish. It was delicious. Got desert we had apple olive oil cake with homemade ice cream. Absolutely scrumptious. Also great drinks. Good wine selection . Great atmosphere and service was top notch. We would definitely to back!

    We came on Thursday, pasta night, and enjoyed the wagyu beef lasagna and gnocchi with Sunday sauce. The portions were great, and the cocktails were delicious. The chopped salad before dinner was also really flavorful. Our server was attentive and friendly and gave great recommendations. We enjoyed the ambiance, and the price was reasonable. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner with loved ones.

    Chef Nina and her staff never disappoint. BAB's has become one of our "go to" restaurants for special occasions. The menu varies and the food is always delicious and healthy. The staff is professional, informative and friendly but not overly attentive or stuffy. The ambiance in the historic warehouse is relaxing and not too loud. We once again enjoyed an excellent dinner experience at BAB'S. Thank you Chef Nina and Larry

    I never leave NOLA without visiting both BABS & its sister Compre Lapin. The service is always impeccable, staff is so on point! But the food is really the start of the show, as a chef, chef educator and restauranteur myself i wish i could get octopus like this!!! It is the absolute best!!!
