Welcome to Baby Shank Restaurant & Bar. Join us for our New Brunch Menu!
Bring a friend or 2, or host a gathering of 300. We offer you a French-inspired menu, including Bavette Steak and Steamed Mussels, or our signature sushi rolls, including the award winning Fish & Chips. Enjoy it with our popular Jalisco Mule, made with Libelula Tequila. And top it all off with the classic Crème Brulé.

Baby Shank's historic address was originally built by the National Capital Brewing Co in 1911. The original exposed brick, mansard roof, and arched windows set the mood for guests when they arrive. Warmly lit by chandeliers, the 2 story space has a modern, yet soothing historic feel.

a Brunch on Sunday Nov 10th that failed miserably. Once seated we (2) waited to order drinks. After about 10 minutes we flagged down a waiter and ordered them. At the same time we ordered the food but found that both items we chose on-line were no longer available. NB: on-line Menus are not current. After another 15 minutes we flagged down the waiter and asked for our drinks. After another 10 minutes we got up, walked downstairs and left. But not before finding the staff arguing behind the bar. This was a 2nd visit since Baby Shank opened. The first was a disaster too as we were overcharged for 'Happy Hours' drinks. That was corrected but if we had not checked the full bill we would have been Baby Shank suckers. FINISHED w/Baby Shank !!

Eunice is always very kind and helpful. Love the food and drinks here. Definitely check it out. Also, the roof deck is really cool!

All the tables for 2 didn't have menus like the other party tables. We waited awkwardly and had to raise our hand to request a menu. Service was good after that. Sunday at noon we had the place nearly solo. When we left around 1 it started to fill up. We’ll come back to try dinner & the patio

Loveeed my experience here!! Accommodated my large party of 10! Food was great and the ambiance was amazing!! Our server was prompt, enjoyed my birthday celebration! Will be back

Tried to sit 3 of us at a 2 top where I kept getting bumped and felt like I was sitting in someone else’s party. They relocated us to 4 top. Food had no salt, and one of our entrees didn’t come out til everyone else was almost finished. Overall atmosphere was extremely chaotic. At one point a waiter slipped carrying an entire bucket of mussels and broth covering the lady sitting at the table we’d been sitting at in muscles and shells

Our server Sam was great! He waited two parties over 10 people and didn’t mess up anything. I had the spicy scallop sushi roll and the branzino. The fish was cooked great! It was just a smidge too boney. Drink was good too, I had the old fashioned. Only other note would be who ever makes the old fashioned it should have just the one large ice cube. My drink had crushed ice in it and watered down my drink quickly

Service was good overall, our server checked in on us as needed. Ambience was amazing for such a sunny and nice day. Food was decent overall.
