   Great ambiance. Our potato wedges were a bit undercooked but the service was excellent. We really appreciated how patient our sever was with us. I will definitely come again.

   Our experience at the bar before dinner was good. Bartender was lovely and cocktails were interesting and delicious. Once we were seated things went a bit downhill. The Meze Meze platter was decent. My husband said the chicken salad sliders were fine, but overpriced for two small sandwiches. My blue plate special was late and inedible. The meatloaf was paper thin and burnt to a crisp. The grits broke my heart–dry and clumpy with partially melted cheddar shreds on top. I'm southern, I take that stuff seriously. The sautéed vegetables were cold. For the first time in my life I sent a meal back. Our waitress seemed frazzled and forgot to bring our second round of drinks, but did apologize for our unhappiness and comped my dinner. The patio is pretty and the vibe was good. Overall I might go back for a drink, but never the food.

   There was a dishwasher breakdown in the kitchen delayed dinner the day we came for an early reservation. Backyard treated us very well while we waiting. Marlissa, our server, was attentive and seated us with drinks and snacks. The wait became a pleasant drinks and conversation time rather than a bother.

   Great atmosphere. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone loved their meals. There was a group at the bar (3 guys) who were very noisy and we had to shout to each other in order to hear what we were saying, however, they left halfway through the meal. I would not recommend this restaurant for a "quite meal". We enjoyed it, however,

   Highly recommend the #weallstars brunch menu item. The wait staff is rockstar and personable. Will definitely come back.

   It was a great place, the food was delicious, but they did forget to bring out an item that we had ordered. They didn't charge us for it so it wasn't a big deal, I would still go back.

   I am so in love with Backyard! I've been twice - once for brunch, once for dinner - and each time it was wonderful! The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is incredible. It is a hip without being hipster, the outdoor dining area is gorgeous - basically, if I could eat here every day I would!

   We were the first table seated in the 'backyard' for dinner though all tables were sat when we left. Each table had children which was fine with us as we had two with us also. Very short menu which was even shorter as they were out of some items. The food was good though somewhat expensive for what you got portion wise. The happy hour menu was pretty good, we had a nice bottle of rose, and a couple of beers. Food, we chose a few items from the happy hour menu (skip the kings kolache!) for appetizers then shared all the sliders (which was about the only thing they had beside the shrimp & grits special which I thought might make us an entree). Our server was very nice. Can't remember her name, she's from Australia though if that helps? She even brought out some toys and a coloring book for my 3 year old:) We didn't find sleepy!
