My husband and I had the specials tonight. Just the description had me salivating! And it tasted even better than it sounded. Still by far our favorite restaurant.

We dined on a Friday at 4:00 PM in late February, so early in the evening. Although we had originally booked for the dining room, we moved to the bar to overlook the water. Gorgeous view for 1 of us (me). There’s a need little lounge section of the bar that seemed swanky. We tried two happy hour drinks, which were okay (beet drink and spritzer). My husband moved to the crush and stayed there and I tried a dry rose Prosecco (that didn’t look rose, but tasted very good). For apps, we got the risotto balls, which had a great sauce, and the (buratta?) toast, which was amazing. For our entrees, we chose the gnocchi (so so good) and the chicken parm, which was crispy and juicy. No room for dessert. I will definitely come back here!

Weekend brunch is great. Breakfast burger and fries are my favorite. Pizzas are good - I like the vodka pizza. The pancakes are very good as well. No matter what you get, if you like breakfast sausage get a side of it here. Grilled perfectly in my experience and great flavor.

Baia is a quaint place in North Beach. The food is great though a bit pricey but great for a special occasion. Eve our waitress was great. Made suggestions and brought us wine samples to try something different than what we ordered to experience something new. The food was great and plentiful. They accommodated my GF allergy which was wonderful. We were not rushed after our meal and were treated very well. We will be back again. Thanks

With an 8:30 reservation on a special nite(Valentines Day), I expected that special offerings(Lobster Ravioli) would still be available!

2 people, valentines dinner 2nd time we went. Same overall impression as last time, but terrible service this time. Overall impression: food is really delicious with good quality ingredients. BUT! The portions are tiny and the price too high for what you get. I have many experience dining in upscale restaurants, but Baia, in my humble opinion, is a “wannabe”. What was absolutely unacceptable: When ordering our food, we at first didn’t want to order our main course right away, because we have experienced many times that it comes too fast. The waiter was surprised, so we explained him we didn’t want to be rushed through and we wanted to enjoy our evening. He guaranteed that he would pace the courses, so we did order main course and starters at once. We ordered a bottle of wine, and a bottle of sparkling water as well. The starter came very fast, which was not necessarily an issue, although I would have preferred to finish my starting cocktail first. The main course came immediately after the starter. We hadn’t even had time to finish our first glass of wine yet! We were rushed through our meal in less than an hour! I’m sorry, but that is not fine dining and enjoying the evening to me! Seen the tiny portions, I asked for bread, but they said they didn’t have any. 🤨 We spent 240$ for 2 people, tip excluded and were rushed through dinner in an hour, even though we explicitly told them we wanted to take our time. Furthermore, we never received our bottle of San Pelegrino, but is was added to the check! We will not be back! I’d much rather spend my money somewhere else if I want a nice evening with my husband!

Eve was amazing!! Definitely the best part of our reservation. The surf and turf was SOO good, as was the beef cheek ravioli - only wish the ravioli was a bigger portion. Hubby could’ve eaten 2-3 lol. Though I was sad you ran out of the crème brûlée, the strawberry pistachio cake was VERY good too. I love Baia and will be back as a regular and for future specialty nights
