   I went specifically for happy hour. However was pretty disappointed. The oysters were shucked poorly, every oyster had shell pieces on it. There was one waiter for the entire bar area so getting service was almost impossible. Drinks were good! Would not go back.

   My main issue was that once we sat down, a pan handler had come in - after already hassling people outside - and kept asking for money while we were sitting at the table. There were 3 employees standing by our table and not one said anything to assist us. We kept saying no thank you as we were sitting there and they just stood there quietly not saying anything. It was very uncomfortable. I would have hoped the employees would have said something to help. Not very impressed - it was like they didn’t know what to do. For happy hour, this place is fine, but the dinner service and ambiance on. Tuesday no less, was not that great.

   This is located on corner in the Hyatt Centre hotel. The roasted salmon with beluga lential ...fantastic. Drink Fluer de Champagne was perfect.

   One of the worst meals we’ve ever had. And we brought an out of town guest. It was embarrassing and a shocking waste of $175. The swordfish kabobs were so dry we all only choked down one tiny shriveled piece. It took 40 minutes to even receive our first dish which was a chintzy burrata dish with grossly sweet tomato jam. The cauliflower au gratin was something out of a horror movie. It was also the only truly edible thing on our table. Our server was very kind and I could see he was the only person working the entire floor and I felt bad for him. But they kept seating tables even though they were understaffed and that’s a choice. I should have just made another reservation somewhere else when they called me at 7pm, thirty minutes before our reservation, saying they wanted to close early at 8 and do we still want to come in….When we arrived they were accepting walk ins which was very confusing. I don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. The food was atrocious and overpriced.

   Great food, prices, and service. I feel like this is almost a hidden gem in the Loop because it's always got a nice crowd, but not crazy busy like some places.

   Once again I had a fantastic dining experience at Bandol. Made a point of dining here again on this trip and wasn't disappointed. The food is excellent. Served by friendly staff. I like the relaxed atmosphere while dining. Will be back again on my next trip to Chicago.
