   Love Bar Cecil! Food is always excellent. We had the curry mussels, date butter rolls, and deviled eggs. The first two were the best! Recommend heavy apps and dessert. We will be back.

   always fabulous. easily the best restaurant in Palm Springs. but also one of the best restaurants in the u.s. you feel as though you are transported to Paris. food, menu, service, ambience, value, all extraordinary.

   A most enjoyable evening at a unique restaurant. Ambiance , service , food all hit the mark. And, definitely ultra cool restrooms! All 4 of us will be back!

    Bar Cecil is definitely worth getting into once. And when I say "getting into", I mean they make it exceptionally difficult to make a reservation. You have to be one of the lucky few to click "reserve" fast enough at a precise moment. Seats are released at exactly midnight one month in advance of your preferred date. Although this system is implemented under the guise of fairness and equity, it's a bit satirical knowing that you and at least one person at every table in the dining room was up late at night in their PJ's and night creams a month before, desperately wrestling with OpenTable to make a reservation for this particular night. (It's kind of like being a public speaker and imagining your entire audience wearing underwear. Ridiculously funny.) If you are visiting from out of town, good luck getting in within your limited travel itinerary. So, this reservation system alone creates a lot of ill-will. You can walk in at the risk of a 90-minute wait or zero availability. I just don't understand why they can't do the grown-up thing and have an open reservation system. Bottom line, I like this restaurant a lot, but after two visits, the law of diminishing returns is now in full effect. We have zero impetus to try getting in again. It's just not worth the hassle. The Pro's: On this visit, we sat outside and although I was skeptical, it's just as charming as the inside. Service is great by any standard. The Cons: See above intro. They go to great lengths to print a laminated menu just for their special martinis, so you would think they'd serve only top shelf liquor in these drinks. But no, you have to upgrade to top shelf. (Lame.) My food was meh. An exceptionally wet salad. Blah shrimp cocktail with wimpy cocktail sauce, And a sole meuniere entree that was quite flavorless including a celeriac puree that was beyond bland, accompanied by equally lackluster delicato squash stuffed with very bitter chard/kale. The whole entree was just off.
