Located in Mount Vernon Triangle, Bar Chinois is a short walk from the Washington Convention Center, Capital One Arena, National Mall and Union Station. We offer happy hour specials Tuesday-Sunday from 5 pm-7 pm and a bottomless brunch on weekends.

Everything came out so timely, the Service was excellent! Our reservation was technically outside of happy hour but the staff was extremely gracious in getting us seated right away. We enjoyed both of our drinks but the Mousse a la Peche was by far our favorite! Dumplings were great as well, already made our next reservation!! Amazing experience!

We enjoyed our time here from delicious happy journey dumplings and drinks to fabulous main dishes. The 1970’s garlic noodles dish is amazing! Stellar service and just a cool vibe.

Food was excellent. Very busy restaurant, noise level was higher than expected, but we arrived at the tail end of happy hour, making it hard to hear. Had 2 vegetarians in our group, and all enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend

The cocktails were perfectly crafted. Wish there were a few more vodka and tequila crafted cocktails on the menu, but the ones offered were good. The dumplings were delicious. I ordered the garlic noodles; the cheese should be used lightly and may be more than 3 shrimp. Overall, great experience, our waiter was helpful in giving suggestions, and we appreciated the manager asking us for feedback on the garlic noodles. Great value across the board!

This is our favorite place for a cocktail and dumplings. We love their small dishes, dumplings, crab rangoon, canard spring roll, and entrees (noodles). Don't skip the matcha creme brulee, it is very much a staple. The only downside is not the restaurant 's fault but just the culture in DC to be obnoxiously loud.... Otherwise waiter/waitress, food and cocktails are top notch. We will come back 😁

This is a nice lively (i.e., very noisy) restaurant with interesting Chinese dishes and a good bar menu. The spare ribs were excellent. Chinese noodles were okay, but the parmesan cheese seemed out of place in a Chinese dish. My wife didn't care much for her duck dish. We'll come back, but we'll make our meal out of hors d'oeuvres.
