   Was surprised a single vodka and diet coke was just under £7, wouldn't have ordered it if I'd known beforehand. Had a chicken and pork Sunday lunch. Came already covered in gravy which isn't what i would expect nor want, what's wrong with having a pot of gravy? Potatoes were not crispy at all, tasted like they'd been under a heat lamp for some time. Chicken was mostly OK though dry in a lot of places as was the pork which was chewy. Yorkshires were lovely, best part of the meal. My girlfriend and I both agree we will not have Sunday lunch there again, wish we'd ordered the chicken schnitzel and burger instead. It's disappointing when you work hard all week and want to treat yourself to a meal out but then find you'd have been better off cooking it yourself, wouldbe been tastier and a fraction of the price.

   Had a call earlier on in the week changing our table to the bar as they had a group booking in restaurant. Had booked at the start of Feb so felt we'd been sacked off for a large group which would have been fine but the girl said "we shouldn't have taken the booking". Turns out to be a 16th birthday party and was horrendous. Bar was packed and very busy/noisy and we had the constant boom boom boom from the party. Couldn't have a proper conversation as no one could hear each other. Food was alright but feel the portion size was really mean. Rump of lamb was delicious but filled about half the plate and was gone in 5 minutes. Mixed grill again didn't even fill the round plate and was over cooked. Smallest mixed grill I'd ever seen. Overall was really disappointing and would make me think twice about coming back again
