   The service was extremely disappointing. We were excited to try the restaurant for the first time and we were celebrating a friend's birthday. Arrived 15 minutes early for the reservation so it was not a problem that the table was not ready. We sat by the hostess areas where there is a small waiting bar and we were told we could order a drink there. We waited for 20 minutes to get someone to take our drink order (we asked the hostess at one point if someone would be by to take the order and she said they would). We ultimately got the drink order because a waitress passed by that knew our friend and put the order in at the bar. It took about 10-15 minutes to get the drinks. We had to ask about the status of our reservation and we were given no estimate, no explanation, and no one expressed any concern or apology for the wait We finished our drinks, tabbed out, and still no one from the restaurant approached us and said a word. Again, we were sitting right in front of the hostess stand. After being there nearly an hour past our reservation, we left and went to Yokozuna. The one star on the food was only because we were required to select a star to complete this review - we never had any food.

   Don’t waste your money on the table side Tomahawk Steak. I’ve never had a steak with that much fat in it, disgusting.

   We sat in a booth and the table is placed too far away. We had to lean forward the entire time - Quite uncomfortable.

   First off, it’s hard to write a negative review when there we so many positives, but here it is. Wonderful location, amazing food, extremely subpar service. It was NYE so we tried to give grace and be understanding but our waitress almost ruined our night. We got our appetizer and finished it, before we got our first drinks, almost 40 minutes to get two cocktails! Our waitress was short with us, rude, and almost nonexistent, we had to ask another one to refill waters and check on our cocktails. My wife never wants to speak to a manager but she finally said this might be a first. Tables were sat after us that were on their main course before we even got our salads. When the food did finally come it was outstanding, but we have never felt more unwelcome in a restaurant ever. When we ordered a nice bottle of wine she finally was a little more friendly, but we were already so upset and wondered if it was something we did that I am not sure we would come back. Sad because the food was 10/10.

   This was our second time to dine at Baron's and it won't be our last. Gabbi was our server tonight and she was absolutely fantastic. Service was impeccable from start to finish. We both ordered the filet and they were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a little edge.

   Great experience. Filet mignon was excellent. Cocktails great. Server did an excellent job too.

    Put simply, this was perhaps the best meal I have ever had. It was as close to transcendent as a meal out ever could have been!!
