   Barrio Queen used to be my “go to” for good Mexican food at a moderate price. I know you can always expect a somewhat disappointing experience at any restaurant, if you go often. However; this was the second time in the last three visits, that either the food or service was not good. This time everyone’s food was lukewarm AT BEST. The waiter we had was exceptional, and was very apologetic that the food came out that way. We ate what we could of the barely warm food, and thanked him for caring. We will not be back, maybe drive a little further and go to the downtown Gilbert location?

   We come to AZ a few times per winter season and always make a point of eating here. The food is always fresh and delicious! Service is with a smile and margaritas are a must! Check it out. We love it!

   Alway’s good, but a little pricy. I ordered a Torta which IMO was not the expected Barrio Queen elevated version I hoped for. It was bland, dry, and simply didn’t live up the Barrio Queen reputation. But the other items we ordered were on point as usual. Pork Nacho’s, The Queen enchiladas, and a la carte tacos were excellent.

    A group of us ladies met today for lunch and a catch up. Michala was our server, she was friendly, attentive, and took great care of us. I ordered the Guacomole for the table and it was made PERFECTLY! All the ladies loved their choices and raved about the food, thank you to the kitchen staff.
