   This restaurant was terrific. Very quick service from friendly, efficient waitperson. Ordered guacamole table side, shrimp tacos, short rib tacos, chicken enchiladas. All were excellent. Will definitely return.

   It has been about three years since we have been back to barrio. I was afraid to come back as the last few times hadn't been that great. We had a reservation for Gibsons Italia but we were starving and this reservation was available earlier and we were craving Mexican . My husband and I split the chicken and steak fajitas and chips and salsa. Hubs got a mini taco w tuna on it as an appetizer & said it was INCREDIBLE! It came with a yummy ginger dipping sauce as well. Our fajitas were absolutely incredible and it seems like Barrio has upped their game with their chicken and steak! The chicken was absolutely incredible all white meat with no fat! Steak was cooked to a perfect medium like we ordered and also not fatty! We liked the steak so much we added a second side . I absolutely love the homemade corn tortillas here I just wish that they would serve you more than three at a time . The chips are much better than I remember as well and are totally made in house and each chip is super crunchy and served warm ! My only complaint is the salsa selection sucks . I ordered the more tomato salsa and it was too spicy so then I asked to switch it to the Verde, which didn't have much flavor. The only other option is a pico which I'm not really a fan of. kind of shocking that they don't have a better tomato based homemade salsa. I guess better that way because I ate less chips since the salsa wasn't very good I was really excited to see the hot mezz cocktail on the menu that I remembered loving it years ago. Unfortunately, they apparently changed their recipe and it's not made with fresh watermelon juice anymore. The drink came out, tasting like a sour tart and had absolutely no watermelon flavor and definitely wasn't spicy. Our server was happy to exchange it and try to have them remake it, but it still wasn't good. She then recommended a different drink which was made with Mezcal and pineapple.    We’ve unfortunately had average to poor service the couple of times we’ve dined here. At this visit, we waited quite a while for tableside guacamole, which was understandable since it was the dinner rush. However, chips did not arrive with the guacamole, and after some time we eventually had to ask the hostess for chips. We ended up closing out our bill and getting dinner elsewhere. The ambiance is nice, but the cost is not justified for the underwhelming service and average food.

   We sat down in a beautiful area for our party of 8 for a 50th birthday celebration. We sat for 18 minutes with no server or water service. It was long enough that a large group could order everything at once. Guacamole for 4 ($8.99 pp) For $36 there was 20 chips total (for 8 people) We immediately asked for more chips (this took until after the “taco tower” was brought….. queso fundido ($14)with sausage ($3.99). 6 tortillas (that were delicious) for 8 people. (If they offered a price increase for a tortilla to human match we would have jumped on it. Taco tower($68) 12 tacos choice of steak, chicken or truffle mushroom 2 of 8 guests ate none of the “tower” One guest explained her adversity to cilantro during the guacamole course, server didn’t do what was requested (side of cilantro for everyone else at table to enjoy) . (Fyi we chose verde salsa because it was called mildest, charred tomato “hits your uvula” Verde is spicy! Tequila tower ($88) with ($6) watermelon addition. Fyi the sugar syrup is added directly to tequila and while delicious she rarely came to check on us (We asked for a second chips for a guacamole quantity ordered for 4 with unfortunate chip quantity for a 0.05 ) The tacos themselves in the taco tower were unfortunately bland, but more importantly so tough and stringy that texture made it utensil free food. Check on guests, we waited 37 minutes from plate clearing to check drop. Then another 12 for the server to collect the credit card. She never came so we had to bring the bill to another server.

   I’ve been here over 5x and ordered DoorDash over 3x and have always had amazing experiences until this Friday May 16th when our waiter ignored us for 45 minutes and we were forced to get our drink orders from the hostess stand

   Took my mom, aunt and cousin for Mother's Day. They had a brunch earlier and ran out of their pork tacos but I ordered the skirt steak instead and it was delicious. We also had shareable nachos and they were so good we almost ordered some to go. We were just too full to eat anything else. Servers seemed a bit distracted but overall the service was good. The restaurant itself was a great vibe. I came back because I enjoyed this spot a few years back. They had a live DJ my first time visiting.

    Great specialty drinks and shareable plates. The table side guacamole is no to be missed, the quesadillas were amazing, and desert , churros with three dipping sauces caramel, chocolate, and crème.The service was uneventful, we had to constantly search out our server. Overall, it’s a nice place, good value, and thoughtful menu
