Dubbed the Historic Districts "Show Stopper," Barterhouse Ybor, offers inventive American cuisine like a twist on Ybor's own Deviled Crab Chilua, house made pastas and prime beef & chops. The bar is equally dedicated to premium ingredients crafting cocktails in this elevated-yet-cozy environment. Highly acclaimed Executive Chef Estabon Chacon leads the experience from the stunning open chef’s kitchen.

The Southeast farm community is the heart of Barterhouse, following our sister restaurant in Charleston SC. Our philosophy surrounds the idea that not all ingredients are created equal, and if we eat good, we’re doing good, too. Don't miss this "show stopper" in Tampa's most historic district.

We encourage you to lounge at our speakeasy-inspired bar, stocked with local brews, fine wine by the glass and classic 1940’s libations with a modern twist. Walk ins welcome, and bar menus begin at 4:30 pm.

    1. Odd odor in the restaurant. 2. Very limited menu due to lack of staff. Would have been nice to know this as it was a celebratory dinner that needed more than burgers. 3. Staff was polite and apologetic. 4. Cocktails were well crafted, but $15 each.

Barterhouse use to be a great restaurant with good food, drinks and staff. It is no longer any of these things. Really disappointed. Went for the Christmas pop up. Only 4 “themed” drinks. Menu was limited. Will not be back. If you’re looking for a Christmas pop-up could not recommend this one.

Very disappointed and sad with our experience here. Made reservations well in advanced almost a month for my mom‘s birthday. She absolutely loves Christmas and of course seeing the Christmas decorations. I made reservations there. Upon arrival, we were about seven minutes late due to a wrong turn, but called to let them know. And it was a 5 o’clock reservation so it wasn’t busy yet anyways, when we were seated, we seated on the side that did not have that much decorations, obviously with a reservation, you would think you would get put on the side with all of the Christmas lights. I even asked if we could sit over there and she said it was “ in high demand” which again…what was my point in requesting a reservation then ??? Then out of the four holiday drinks they only had two of them that were available so another disappointment. Our server Kelly, not very knowledgeable of almost anything and then we asked her about the happy hour. We saw online and she told us they didn’t have one and then came back and said yes my apologies. We do it just excludes the holiday drinks, but everything else is happy hour so we all got two more drinks during this time and I got to two wines. When we got the bill, my wines were not discounted and we asked her why not when she came back she told us that, that wine was not included, even though she had said everything except the holiday drinks….. our bill was over $200 with three hamburgers and ravioli. And of course drinks but still completely outrageous for food prices. The burgers were pretty good and the fries were yummy. The ravioli was definitely different and small and portion. Over all just very sad with the experience and on top of that celebrating my mom’s birthday was a slight light down here. Instagram definitely does a job at showing you what you want to see…..

The Christmas decorations were really cute and the ambiance was relaxing but the food was a bit overpriced and drinks came out reallllly slow.

We had a fantastic time here for their Christmas pop up! The place was decorated so adorably and was so festive. The food and drinks were incredible, I was very impressed! The service was also top notch. Everything we had was amazing and we felt like we had such a fun, festive evening!

Food was great but we were seated next to the server stand so we had servers working and talking next to the table throughout the meal. It would have been a better experience at a different table.

Smash burger was great, but it’s $25. Drinks were great, but $15+ for a drink. The buratta app was missing sea salt. Overall, it’s a good restaurant that charges great restaurant prices. The service was excellent!

Not great. Espresso martinis were terrible. We went at 5:30- were given 3 menus (6 of us). There were so many changes/modifications to the paper menu that the waitress had to tell us about. Honestly a nightmare for anyone with allergies.

We came here on a Sunday. Super excited to try out Barterhouse: Christmas edition! Especially seeing all of the hype online. Well, the experience was lacking unfortunately. Our reservation was at 9pm and we arrived early (about 8:45pm). When I asked the waitress what time they closed so we could plan our night accordingly, she stated they closed at 9pm! She apologized and said she wasn’t sure why OpenTable allowed us to book 9pm, but she would still seat us. This was so disappointing as I was excited to relax for a little while and enjoy the ambiance. Luckily since we were early, we did get to order a round of drinks and two appetizers. Couldn’t order ravioli because they were “out”. As our drinks came to the table, I heard the bartender tell the waitress “make sure you let them how it’s last call!”. This made us so uncomfortable as we came here to have fun, but were really just met with a bunch of staff that was trying to go home. I had the eggnog drink and it was NOT mixed well. When I went to sip from the straw it was straight up liquor! I mixed it myself and it was much better. I never got to try the Cindy Lou drink but from what my friends said, it was mediocre. Our food arrived and to focaccia was pretty good, but the deviled crab dumplings were kinda dry and cold. Wouldn’t recommend. Our waitress was very kind and understanding. She let us hang around for a little bit while everyone was cleaning up, but frankly we felt like a burden. It was very awkward. The bartender kept staring at us. I don’t know what he was thinking, but maybe he was waiting for us to order one more drink before he started cleaning or just wanted us to get the heck out of there. Not sure but I definitely did not have a holly jolly time. I felt like it was a waste of a Sunday night honestly. Especially paying for parking and everything. It was just upsetting to get there and feel rushed.
