   Wow! What a truly amazing dinner! I took my adult son out for a celebratory dinner, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal - and the entire experience! We had reserved seats at the bar, and the bartenders were attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks. They provided excellent recommendations! We started with the shaved artichoke which was light and citrusy - and wonderful! We then had the skate cheeks with polenta which was succulent, tender, and perfectly prepared. We shared the gnocchetti with house sausage, and the curves of the pasta held the sauce and each bite was amazing! Then I had the monk fish piccata which was a special, and it was served with white asparagus. Again, it was perfectly prepared and delicious! Every dish was wonderful! But our favorite was my son's entree - the iberico pork secreto. WOW! We were told these are mostly wild pigs that feast on acorns - and each bite was perfection with a slightly sweet flavor with the first bite - followed by a gentle smokiness. This really was one of the best dinners we have had in a long time - we will be back!

   I wish I lived closer, I’d be there all the time. What a jewel of a restaurant and gift to that charming neighborhood. The bar serves bespoke cocktails the venue is sublime, the food delicious and service exquisite! We’ll be back!!

   Incredible in every way. The subtlety of an elevated dining room style setting, but still luxe. A unique take on fusion that is rooted in existing intersections rather than purely imagined ones, which feels tasteful and grounded. The food is simply masterful and delicious. The cocktails, decadent and layered. The energy vibrant. An institution for the fun moments of tomorrow.

   Beautiful ambience. Service was sluggish despite it being a Monday. Food was good but over salted. Not worth the price in my opinion.

   Small plates were actually larger and more shareable than waiter let on. The grape small plate was fabulous as well as orchiette with sausage. Ironically the highly touted ricotta dumpling were disappointing a bit too doughy. Swordfish skewers and Durade were excellent. Parking is very tough and restaurant is not marked well but lovely. Waiter was excellent .

   Bastia is one of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia. The goal of the chef to express his love for Sicilian and Corsican food provides a deep dive into all that these Mediterranean islands have to offer. In a city of very good food Bastia is showing us greatness! Make sure you get the swordfish :)
