Out of passion, tradition, hard work and integrity, Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida. Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

Our hostess was friendly and took us upstairs to the loft where our reserved table was. It was roughly 45° outside so sitting by the fireplace was not an option for us locals. Haha. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and gave thorough detail when answering the tables questions. He brought us a secondary wine menu that had more wine bottle options on it. The food was very good and served hot by a team of servers. The table had rigatoni de funghi, penne, àlla vodka with sausage crumbles, and arugula salad with shrimp. Nice size portions and plenty of delicious flavor. I will go again.

First time at Bavaro’s and it was great! Our server was attentive, cocktail was delicious (lemoncello), and our food (margarita pizza and fresh pasta) was served promptly after our salad. Plan to come again when it is warmer so we can sit on the terrace.

We are at the bar. The service was great. Our only issue was that our pizza was burned black. It was quickly replaced.

Food is quite good but the service is not. Waited a long time for someone to come to our table and then all the food arrived at the same time- instead of having our salad before our meal. And the food was lukewarm.
