Our stunning ocean-front location with spectacular sunsets makes the Beach House an iconic destination on Kauai's south shore that has won the Hale 'Aina Award for "Best Restaurant - Kauai" for 20+ years.

Our philosophy at the Beach House is simple - take aloha, blend it with fresh and high-quality ingredients, and add an ocean view to deliver a handcrafted, Hawaiian experience. Executive Chef Marshall Blanchard makes the most of local ingredients by sourcing our fish directly from island fisherman and our beef from neighboring ranches. We incorporate fresh and local produce throughout our menu, highlighting Hawai'i farms and the resources that surround Kauai.

Reservations are highly recommended for a dining room table in our open-air restaurant. We also offer lounge seating on our lawn, where the full menu and full service are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please check in with the bar host for lawn seating.

Gorgeous location. Inventive and delicious food. Our server Natalia had superior knowledge of the local influences contributing to Beach House’s offerings from the signature cocktails to the pu-pus to the fresh catch. Will be back!

Excellent service from our server who knew from memory the gluten free selections. Our steak and Ahi were both prepared perfectly. Ambience as always, breathtaking. Everyone, from the valet, to the welcoming committee at the desk, to the expediters really take a moment to make a connection however brief. Amazing in this age where it seems people are losing the ability to communicate. But the coup de gras? Gluten-free Mochi cake! Thanking the team for a gluten free dessert that is unique and memorable.

Ordered Lobster Deviled Eggs to start. Results were cold poached lobster over unseasoned and cold DE. It wasn’t edible. Husband ordered the filet special with scallops. Scallops were the best part of the meal. The mashed potatoes were gummy and lacking flavor. Steak was cooked as ordered but lacked any seasoning and had no accompanying sauce like peppercorn etc. The bill for that plate was a shocking $100. GET OUT. I ordered the mushroom pot pie and sent it back. The idea of puff pastry on a gooey pot pie seems fine but in reality you just get a crispy top and uncooked mess of an underside. Mushroom soup interior was underwhelming. Service was great but overall this place is INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED for what you get. Drinks were $20. Look, I’m from Austin and am used to paying a lot for food and tbh I don’t mind at all but it shouldn’t be a default for a restaurant just because of your location and then deliver subpar food to boot. They also tried to seat us at the two top right outside the kitchen. No thank you! This will never be a spot we visit again. The valet will also announce to you that the five dollars is for the restaurant and that they expect their own tip. Does this processed really need to be explained to guests? I guess so! Dinner for two was $300+ and that’s not including the pot pie. Save your money for a helicopter tour.

We have visited the Beach House every time we come to Kauai , and it has been amazing. This time the service was terrible, the food was overpriced for the quality and overall the place felt well used and in need of a refresh. The view as usual was amazing and really the reason to go. I don’t think we will be going back again! Very disappointing!

Disappointing experience. We came for our 2 year wedding anniversary, and we were underwhelmed. Although the views are great, the service is that of a fast food restaurant but somehow with slow service. We had to stack dirty dishes, push glasses to the sign, and send all kind of signals just to get an ounce of service. Drinks were messy, and food was just so so - definitely not worth the price tag. If you are looking for a nice dinner for a special occasion with good food, service, and cocktails, this is not is anymore sadly.

We went to the Beach House for my birthday. The setting and restaurant are just amazingly beautiful. They gave us a very nice table. The food was delicious including the complimentary dessert. Our server was very attentive. Love the Monkeypod menu! We will probably try happy hour next!
