Unfortunately, service just wasn't great today. I don't know about other days, but our server appeared to be in a bad mood right off the bat and that kind of dampened our experience. From what I understand, a lot of the service workers called off today (Christmas) and they were short staffed so we gave him some grace. The food was okay. Nothing to call home about except maybe the pancakes. Additionally, my husband and I wanted the coffee press but the server said he couldn't find it and just gave us regular coffee without asking if we still wanted it or something else like a latte. Then he charged us for the coffee press, which my husband didn't want to complain about because it's Christmas and he didn't want to make the server's day harder by complaining. The decor was beautiful, but the atmosphere overall was snooty and not friendly at all. We didn't feel welcome there. This whole experience was a far cry from what we were expecting. I was disappointed overall.

This was absolutely the worst! When I made reservations it said nothing about a fixed 3 course menu for $85 dollars. It had the regular menu on the Open Table reservation and did NOT charge anything in the reservation. We did get a kids menu. The child’s pasta was awful and had a very strange taste almost like BBQ sauce. The rockfish was dry. The service was so slow and awful. A HUGE disappointment for us all. It was terrible. Then a 20% tip was added!

Our server, Jeremy, was friendly, accommodating and ensured our dinner was exactly what we wanted, how we wanted it. He was moving quickly between tables, yet made everyone (we watched) in our area feel important and welcome. Chefs delivered our plates with a smile! Merry Christmas Cavalier! See you in 2025💕🤣

Samantha, our server was warm, knowledgeable and attentive ! Every one of our appetizers and entrees were cooked to perfection. I always enjoy the salmon but our table also had the crab cakes and scallops and all were very happy.

The manager who was sitting people told us he’d be right back and went on to ignore us for 25 minutes. The hostess finally did something when we explained. The food was ok but the deserts were definitely mediocre. The cavalier environment was nice though the poinsettias were dying in many places.

The restaurant was clearly overbooked. Our reservation were for 8pm we were seated at 8:40. In a very cold section not in the main dining area. We had to were our winter coats to stay comfortable. The she crab soup came out cold as well as our expensive meals. The waitress took forever to wait on us, take our drink order and food order then everything took a long time to come out. She was literally running everywhere and said her tables were scattered everywhere. She was very blunt and obviously overwhelmed. A restaurant of this caliber should be a more relaxing atmosphere and less rushed with meals served warm!

This was probably some of the best customer service we have ever had. Cheyenne, our waitress was amazing and there at every turn to take care of our every need. She was pleasant and happy and very attentive. The food was incredible and the ambience was Christmas perfect . I highly recommend Becca for the holidays !
