   We participated in a special meal entitled 'Forgotten Cuts' and it did not disappoint. Inventive, beautifully presented dishes with uncommon ingredients. Lively table conversations added to a memorable meal.

   Absolutely outstanding restaurant. The food was amazing - you can tell that a lot of effort and creativity goes into the menu as well as the presentation of the plates (wow!). The service was simply perfect - we felt like the waitress was our host and was taking care of us as her esteemed guests. Very personal service. The decor is really charming in this heritage house - which makes the ambience very unique and also controls the noise level in the dining room since the tables are well spaced and in small numbers in each "room" of the house. It's an experience, not just a meal. I would recommend this place to anyone who is willing to pay a little more for a 5-star experience. Worth the price in my humble opinion! It was one of, if not the best, restaurant that both my partner and I have been to!

   Overall it was a very nice experience. I would 10/10 go back. Only comment would be that our server was really quiet and made it hard to hear. We had made a late reservation for 8:30 and we were given the time needed to finish our meals and never felt rushed or like we had to get out. It was a very pleasant evening.

   From the extremely quiet but appointed and warmly intimate dining areas, to the fantastic service, the experience is wonderful. The cocktails are unique and not overly complex, with the added benefit of being great. The food itself is perfection, and served perfectly. A great meal in a great place, with the drinks and service to make it a memory worth repeating.

    Ah, Beckta. You know you’re always in for a good night and good food. The bread made its entrance well, unlike a certain establishment in a past review (wink wink - yeah, you know who you are). Beckta understands that bread should be a welcoming gesture, not a hostile negotiation. And oh, was it welcoming, warm, buttery biscuits, with that perfect balance of crisp crust and pillowy center. A strong start. We opened with dirty gin martinis, the kind that makes you sit back and think, "Alright, we’re in good hands." The potato leek soup came next, silky and decadent, with the smoked salmon adding this gorgeous hit of salty depth. The yellowfin tuna tartare was the star of the starters. Bright, clean, and beautifully balanced with the gribiche and miso citrus vinaigrette doing a tightrope walk between creamy and acidic. Now, the halloumi... we need to talk about the halloumi. It was good, but edging a bit too far into dessert territory. The caramelized apple was sweet, almost too sweet, but the salty cheese and apple molasses still managed to wrestle it back from the brink. A little chaotic, it somehow worked, still might suggest adjusting this one. Cue the Saint Emillon Grand Cru. Cared for. Decanted. A dark, velvety dream that made you wonder why you ever settled for lesser reds. For mains, the hanger steak was a triumph, perfectly cooked, with the cream kale purée and oyster mushrooms giving it that earthy, rich base that makes you close your eyes and smile. And the cubed shredded potato side? A crispy masterpiece. Honestly, I don’t know what kind of dark magic they worked on those potatoes, but I half expected them to follow me home and ask for a ride. Crispy, golden perfection, like a McDonald’s hash brown went to culinary school. The Nagano pork loin was equally impressive, juicy, tender, with the koji beer demi and braised red cabbage creating this beautiful sweet-sour symphony. Dessert time.
