   One of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. They have the BEST Lobster Roll we have ever had, and we have done the Lobster Roll Trail in Maine. I bring customers and out of town guests here every time we are in Atlanta. Oh, and their selection of oysters are really good! They are fresh, delicious, and different.

   I’ve eaten at Beetlecat several times over the years, sometimes with the family and other times on date nights with my partner. We keep coming back mainly for the burgers, which I genuinely think are some of the best in Atlanta, and the fried bread, which remains one of my favorite appetizers anywhere. I’ve even recommended the place to friends just so they could try it for themselves. This time, we came with the kids. It was loud when we walked in. The dining room is cozy and lends itself to other people’s conversations being a bit harsh on the ears. The kids all ordered burgers. I went with the flounder, which was very good. We also tried the beets with strawberries and the kale salad. Both were solid. My partner had the fish and chips. The flavor was fine, but the batter was fried a little too dark and came out oily. The fries were even more of an issue. Everyone’s portion was extremely greasy. You could squeeze them and watch the oil drip. My son ordered a lemonade, which tasted bland. He switched to a sweet tea, but that was also bland. Since neither drink is listed on the menu, we figured they might not be regular offerings. I also had a side salad that I didn’t enjoy because it was very bitter. Since it was a busy night, we kept our thoughts to ourselves, paid the bill, and left a tip. We’ll return at some point, but probably without the kids. The burgers are still great, but the overall value is another reason we’ll likely limit family visits. Looking back, we spent quite a bit and had several disappointing items. That’s easier to navigate with just two adults.

   Great as always. 2nd year we have celebrated a birthday there. Excellent and thoughtful service. Their oyster happy hour is a plus!

   I have been a few times and this wasn’t the best experience. The downstairs is super loud and when the hostess sat us she was not the warmest person - we weren’t happy with the table and she wasn’t accommodating. The food is overpriced. I def enjoyed my past dinners there more.

   I love Ford Fry restaurants. Portion sizes were too small for the price. The burger was no bigger than a McDs burger and far more pricey. Tastes good, but the value was just not there. Literally had to eat leftovers when we got home. Our party enjoyed the oysters, appetizers, fish and chips and flounder. But the “turf” was underwhelming.

    Amazing food ..creative and inventive. Superb ambience …lively but not too loud, table spacing is better than in most places, the vibe is casual and fun while still special. Excellent service. i want to go back again tonight!
