   First time to Bellamy’s and we had a wonderful experience. Brian greeted us and also served our table. He was energetic, helpful, social, and detailed. Very attentive and genuinely a kind server. Initially when we walked in it was very loud and worries that we would be sitting in the bar area but Brian brought us to the back area which was very quiet and allowed us to enjoy a romantic dinner while still being able to hear the subtle live jazz playing. Food was fantastic and we really enjoyed the scampi toast appetizer. We also got the scallop special and the brown sugar butter fettuccine with added shrimp. Brian kindly took care of us with a delightful butter cake for a birthday celebration. We look forward to returning and trying additional favorites. Thank you again for such an exceptional experience. Little details made our dinner and without hesitation will have us recommending.

   Our waiter Fernando was amazing. Very attentive but not overly hovering. The food was delicious as well. A little disappointing they did not have the cocktail I wanted or the wine I wanted.

   We had the filet mignon and the Alfredo. The Alfredo was probably the best pasta I’ve tasted. Our server, Freddy, did an outstanding job.

   As usual the food and drinks were outstanding. We started with the cheese plate and pork belly, fantastic choices of cheese and paired great with the pork. From there we shared the filet and a bowl of French oinion soup. Steak had to be prime and cooked perfect to our request. What stood out the most this evening was the service. The manager seated us and also brought us water and a taste of wine for my wife. Our waitress stopped by and got us started but periodically another waitress would step in to check on us. Seeing the teamwork between your staff with the goal of customer satisfaction was incredible. The food is amazing here but the staff makes the experience!

   We were a group of three old friends ("old" meaning we've known each other for over 20 years), with homes in La Mesa and Hemet, so Escondido is roughly in between. We decided we wanted a touch of class, and chose Bellamy's (from reviews). Well worth the long drive. Fernando was an exceptional host, taking coats and seating the woman - true gentleman. We ordered the fillet, and was cooked to our requested doneness. Delicious. Flourless chocolate cake and crème brulée for dessert. What topped the evening off was Fernando finding us a table in the bar so we could listen to the live Jazz. The show was fun. A wonderful evening, and high recommendation to Bellamy's and Fernando!

   I really wanted to like this place especially as I am new to the area and went for my birthday dinner. They didn’t have our reservation (said it must have been deleted so they never acknowledged my birthday at all). The waitress was inattentive, never checked on us, and it took forever to get her attention. We literally spent an extra hour at our table just waiting for her to come back over the course of the night. The temperature of the dining room was uncomfortably stuffy and hot. The food was mediocre and not impressive.

    We really enjoyed the shrimp scampi toast as well as the French onion soup. We weren't that hungry so my wife opted for the cheese plate as her entre', and I went with a salad. Of course we had room for the creme brulee!
