   I first came to Bill and Toni's in the early 1990s and it was a great local favourite. It was still very busy, but sadly the passing of time has not maintained the quality of by-gone decades. Our service experience was neglectful - 1 hour passed before any food arrived, despite booking for 7pm a week in advance. This chaos was caused by waiting staff not being assigned tables or defined roles. Their responses were adhoc and frantic, and we felt lucky to get their attention at all. Other tables came and left while we waited patiently to have our orders taken and for food to arrive. We had to ask for water. No napkins were available and used cutlery for main had to be salvaged from the entre dishes. Used plates from entree were left on table after mains started to arrive in sucession. Neither the entrees, nor the main meals, arrived together for our table of 4 birthday celebration, with long time gaps between each dish delivery. It turned out that the 4th main meal was completely forgotten by the kitchen and consequently did not arrive until 8.40pm - some 100 minutes after our arrival. Any trained waiter with common sense would have noticed that 1 meal was missing and sorted it out without being prompted by the customer, and have deducted it from the bill. The food was also lacking. The Cheff's special- the Seafood Brodetto - was clearly not made by a trained cheff and would have been more appropriately named the "Briny Brodetto" with the half a cup of salt in the sauce making it inedible. Meals should be discarded by the kitchen when such major mistakes in seasoning occur not covered up and charged for like this one. The other meals were ordinary and not on par with our own home cooking standards. On a positive the deserts were fine. But as locals for 30 years, we will not be returning unless things change. I trust they can lift their game for the sake of the many customers they still attract.

   We arrived at 6pm. We were guided upstairs. The service was prompt. Our entrees came out in sufficient time and not long after our mains came out. The food was divine - fresh and tasty. The schnitzel was perfect. Drinks were great as well. We enjoyed some quiet conversation time before a big group arrived just after 7 and I found myself struggling to hear myself talk - and we were literally just across from each other. The whole atmosphere/decor was very traditional Italian - like some of the restaurants I’d been to in Italy. I would visit this place again.

   Was so pleasant .it felt like a Sunday lunch at Nono and Nona’s house . Nothing too fancy just good honest tasty home cooking . Going back for lunch tomorrow :)

   Been coming here for 20+ years but tonight the service was pretty poor. Had to go to front counter (upstairs) to order dessert as waitress very slow.
