1st visit. Great menu, just beed a chef that knows how to cook southern food. It was horrible. I tried two items, the first was shrimp appetizer. It was just overly spicy, no flavor, just hot. Returned it and ordered catfish suggest. They were soggy, I ate on those b/c I was hungry. The bartender still charged me 1/2 price for the horrible shrimp I returned. Bartender could not make an old-fashioned cocktail, but said he could. Nice guy, but stick to beer or wine, something that has 2 items only. I was there for the music. I'll be back, I'll eat dinner b4 I come next time. Loved the place, very old school blues vibe. Meet new people there, but if they are missing the mark on the food. I'm in the food industry, and I see huge potential if they had a chef that specialized in Southern foods. Biscuits were bland. I was told the Latina chef just follows a menu. That is not cool..

It was my first time there. Great intimate setting. Everyone was super friendly. My only suggestion would be. Because of the name biscuits and blues… The biscuit other than the entertainment needs to be the star!

As visitors from New Zealand, we really enjoyed our evening here. The venue was just around the corner from our hotel and the online booking process was easy - we booked 24 hours in advance, choosing the early (dinner) session. It was great for us to see Harvey Mandel and his band live - although he must now be in his late seventies at least, he has lost none of his guitar technique or ability to let it rock. We had a choice of tables and opted for one near the front, which gave us a good view of the stage. The quality of the food was surprisingly good and exceptionally good value. A brilliant selection of craft beer too. One final bonus - the sound level was just right - not too loud for us two oldies.

We had not been back to Biscuits and Blues for quite a while, and it is a terrific venue for jazz. The staff could not be more accommodating, the music was terrific, reminding us of our years in New Orleans. We went for the music--the dinner was not the focus; however, we had an experienced New Orleans chef with us--someone who grew up in New Orleans and whose meals have spoiled us--so by comparison, the food was fine but not extraordinary. Go for the total experience, and have a wonderful time

We had a great time! The entertainment was terrific, and because the audience was small the performer was able to interact with us, making it special. The fried chicken dinner was seasoned perfectly, the catfish dinner was delicious. Cocktails were great, and staff were attentive and friendly.

Intimate venue with great atmosphere. Band was fun and music was great. Food was quite good but some sides arrived cold. The set menu was a great idea and reasonable.

We ordered drinks, which came promptly and were good. Both of us had jambalaya. It was quite tasty. The show started somewhat late, so we had time for another round of drinks. Once the show started, and during and after the show, service was less available. It took us a bit of time to get our check, but we were able to chat with the performers, so it was fun. The parking discount at the Mason-Ellis garage worked out well. We highly recommend Biscuits and Blues for dinner and a show! We'll definitely be back.
