   Taro fries weren’t bad, but cold. The food was rushed and the whole experience felt rushed. Felt like I was eating at an upscale Panda Express. The sangria is just white wine with fruits at the bottom. Lack the taste of Asian roots. Bland, overpriced and just disappointing.

   For it to be very busy, likely at capacity, the staff managed well. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious, overall. I love that they have a dedicated vegan menu. The Vegan Emerald Gyoza was my favorite! The Honey Bourbon Sesame Tindle sandwich was super creative and tasty! We enjoyed the vegan Buddha’s Garden sushi roll. The yuzu orange sauce was the only thing that wasn’t exciting in flavor. We will definitely return for the gyozas and to try some other menu items!

   The food was dynamite, cozy spot but not cramped, would definitely visit again. Our food took a little extra time which was okay, no worries, Valentine’s Day, didn’t think much of it, but after we asked for a dessert menu the server started rushing us telling us we “only had 20 minutes until their next reservation” so we skipped dessert. We were also right under a vent blowing cold air during a blizzard in February which was an odd atmospheric choice. Altogether we’d definitely go back, just be aware you may get rushed if they take too long on your dinner order- no time for dessert! Haha

   My cousins and I tried this spot out for restaurant week and it was everything and more. We each got different dishes for our 3 course lunch meals so we tried a bit of everything. The tapioca is on the chewier side, which is the only thing I wasn't a big fan of but that is just personal preference. The food was delicious! For out appetizers we got edemame gyoza, jumbo shumai, and avocado katsu bao. We tried the shrimp pad thai, chicken tso good (seasoned perfectly), and the Maki Fresco sushi. The desserts we got were the mango sorbet, tempura brownies, and my personal favorite the banana wontons. The texture was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside with a side of whipped cream. Our server was very attentive and food & drinks came out in less than 10 minutes of placing the orders. Would definitely come back.

   Tofu satay 4/5 Truffle mushroom rice 2/5 Mango Sorbet 4/5 Shishito peppers 1/5 Service 3/5 Ambience 3/5 Note: Booked through Open table; Confirmed reservation the day before via Open Table; got a call from Bites 10 minutes before to confirm the reservation. Thankfully was able to return the call. Not sure what would have happened if I was not in a position to answer that call. Was told that we only have our table for 90 minutes; server did not even come to take our order until 25 minutes later. Just thought this information will be useful for people who are interested in the dining experience and are not just there to wolf down the food.

   Cocktails were good (I got the one with the flamingo which was very fun but a little difficult logistically. Food was awesome, really liked the sauce the mussels were in. My favorite part was our server Keegan, who was very kind, attentive, and playful! Really fun to talk to and engage with and added a lot to the dinner and experience! Thanks Keegan!!
