   Made a reservation for 6pm for 4 people. We were not seated till 6:40. We then sat at our table for an additional 10 minutes not knowing who our waiter was or being great Ted or offered drinks… Once our waiter did come over it was fine. Still took a little too long for our food to come, but that seemed to be the overall theme of the night- slow. The service overall has seemed to decline in the past year. We have had way better service here in the past and at the other locations recently.

   We had a particularly bad experience and I am not sure if this was an off-night or just the new norm with BJs. We made reservations for my father's 84th birthday weeks in advance as he just loves their Pazookies and frankly isn't capable of going anywhere fancy any longer. Our reservations were confirmed/verified an hour before when a member of the staff called us. Yet, when we arrived right on time, we were told we needed to wait and ultimately sat around for almost 15 minutes while 3 hostesses giggled and chatted amongst themselves. After awhile, I walked the half empty restaurant and noted 3 tables large enough to fit our party of 7 and questioned why we were waiting so long -- including my elderly parents. So I approached the hostess and asked when we were going to be seated? One of the 3 hostesses said "Oh, I can probably take you right now." She grabbed menus and we walked to one of the three tables that had been vacant and cleaned the entire time we were standing in the restaurant. Why again did we wait 15 minutes?! The waitstaff couldn't wait to get our orders in -- badgering us every 2 minutes -- and once we had our orders in we didn't see her for huge periods of time. Plates weren't served w/ apps, waters weren't refilled, plates from app rounds weren't cleared, they forgot my 9-year old's soda, and my mother's soda water was flat which took forever to replace. Finally entrees come, and sure enough my Father's meal was room temperature and had to be sent back while everyone else ate on his birthday while he just watched us. Of course we all chipped off pieces of our meals, but he has a hard time eating and can only have select items. It was just really disappointing. We even ordered desserts and yet half our plates were still on the table, completely uncleared. It was just sloppy and a very poor experience. Maybe this is what BJs has become and we should have lower expectations, but overall it was disappointing and I wouldn't go back.

   We sat at 5p, One of the first tablea for dinner. Our food took 33 mins from the point we ordered. Food was good but service is "fair" at best. Will go to Lazy Dogs next time.

   Overall, the service was good and the food was okay. I had steak and vegetables; the vegetables didn't taste fresh, as though they were prepared the evening before, sitting in the back in a tray and waiting to get served. They weren't hot or room temperature and didn't taste as though much care was put into them. Also, I was there to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. I mentioned this in my reservation and hours I would appreciate a small treat and candle for the table. I also mentioned it several times while we were dining. Our waitress even engaged in conversation with us about enjoying the day and how much of a milestone the day was, yet the treat never came. When I assumed we weren't getting the birthday gesture, I went ahead and ordered her dessert, thinking, at minimum, this would come with a birthday candle in recognition and it did not. I know this act is complimentary by the restaurant, but I've seen it happen for others during previous visits and I was just really disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement of my request on such a special day. We had a very early reservation; it was right after they opened, there were few people in the restaurant, so the lack of attention to that detail was so very disappointing.

   Have always enjoyed Wednesday nights at BJs when their hamburgers are on special, but this past visit was not up to their usual standards. The burgers were delicious as usual, but I had requested my guacamole and bacon burger to hold the cheese and bacon on the side and my request was not honored. Another guest had requested her fries to be crispy and they were neither crispy nor hot, more lukewarm warm as if they’d been under holding lights for a while. Another guest’s sweet potato fries were extra crispy, almost burnt, much to her surprise. We opted not to say anything as we had waited a while for our order and didn’t feel like another long wait. Saw our waiter when he came by and dropped the check. Did ask if we wanted dessert which was a bit of a surprise as we had indicated on the reservation that it was a birthday, which was totally ignored. We decided not to press the issue and instead paid the check and left. Let’s say it was an off night for BJs kitchen and wait staff and give them a few weeks to get it straightened out.

   This was an unusual dining experience. The server was excellent; however, the delivery of food was slow. The appetizers (chicken wings and mozzarella sticks were luke warm), and the steakhouse salad was not delivered the way I ordered. The steak came out medium rare when I ordered the meat, medium well. It took over a half hour to deliver the Pizookies. However, they recovered very well by addtressing these issues appropriately and comped a few of the items on our check. Thank you!

   The menu has just about anything you’d want, making it difficult to choose sometimes! Everything I’ve had their makes me want to come back soon. We topped off delicious meals with the trio pazooki! Way to end the evening!
