The Blackdog Inn is in the heart of the community, offering SKY Sports all day every day. Come the weekend, we have live entertainment, such as live bands and karaoke.

We have an extensive menu, offering anything from king-sized mixed grills to sandwiches, all available during 12pm–9pm daily, with daily food-and-drink deals. Being a community pub, we have darts team, pool and show live races, as well as big sporting events, on our big-screen TVs.

It's been a while since we'd been to Black Dog, but really glad they added themselves to Open Table. We went for lunch. The menu had changed, but it was really good and the food was nice. We both had the Bombay Chicken Skewers to start. They were succulent and had nice flavour. I went for the 10oz Rump Steak and my wife had the Hand-Battered Fish & Chips. We both enjoyed the mains. We never got the side of Onion Rings as they'd been ommited by mistake. It was not needed really. Will start going back regularly as we can now book a table.

Wow what a hidden gem. Fischer shop platter is the best and the curry sauce is fantastic Great value as well as you get a free drink with every meal! Outstanding! Staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble! Love it
