We love The Pearl but today’s brunch was served room temperature. But, that won’t keep us away!

Delicious food and great service. My dinner salad was very small and did not fill me up. It was served on a small rectangular plate. It was more like a side salad. They really need to have two sizes so that guests know what they are getting ahead of time.

Thank you, Wendy, for letting us know about your experience. Those salads are intended to be starters. When our guests order something like grilled chicken or shrimp on them we do build them a little bigger into a bowl since we know they are meant to be an entree at that point. My apologies that we didn't quite meet your expectations.

Cozy atmosphere but not very knowledgeable or accommodating to dietary needs. Expensive for what we ordered.

Food is nothing special and overpriced for the run-of-the-mill quality. Much vaunted Chowder was $16/ bowl, initially served at about 95 degrees Fahrenheit, seasoned predominantly with salt, tasted like it was made with a purchased base. “Chopped Salad” was a joke: A bed of lettuce on a plate about 4-5x8-9 inches with a handful of chopped egg/bacon/avocado, etc. on top of the lettuce. French Fries were frozen restaurant supply type. Lobster Salad croissant sandwich had fresh lobster well seasoned, but the croissant was like something from Costco, just smaller. Don’t waste your time or money here.

The food was not good. Never left half an order of clam’s casino behind before; no garnish in the Bloody Mary and called for absolute but the check reports kettle. Rubin sandwich was soggy and fries just ok. Will not be back.
The Black PearlResponded on January 3, 2025
Thank you for letting us know about your experience Samuel. I apologize it did not meet your expectations. The bloody mary cocktail is ordinarily served with a skewer of lemon and olive, and you should be concerned as there is a price difference between Absolut and Ketel One. If you would like to contact me at the restaurant I can make it up to you; I was in the building all day New Years Eve and could have taken care of this if I had known about it in the moment. I'll be happy to do it after the fact.

Overall, decent food and great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the waitress was clumsy with a knife that she dropped on our cellphone. It cracked the screen protector. When I mentioned it to her to explain why I didn’t tip the typical 20%, she said “it’s just the screen protector.” I realize that, thank god. But that’s not the response I was expecting. She was visibly mad that we wouldn’t tip as much. I still left 15%.

Apologies for your experience Gervaise. Feel free to call me at the restaurant to see if there's something I can do to make it up to you. -Rob
