Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set an old furniture factory in the heart of London’s East End. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast (almost as good as Mum's).

    Been here twice now and can honestly say it’s the best steak place I’ve been to. These guys really know what they’re doing when it comes to steak. Great selection on the menu with the opportunity to opt for big chops of up to 1kg - if your gut can handle it! Good drinks selection. Service was generally good but a bit slow on the drink orders. Overall 9.7/10 strongly recommend.

    The service at Blacklock was excellent, and the meals arrived on time. The only slight drawback was the noise level—it was quite loud, but that’s expected on a Friday night with a younger crowd. Still, I love Blacklock ShoD and will definitely be back!

    Really good food and great service. Special mention for pig’s head. Unusually good Montepulciano by the glass/carafe. Very loud at peak time.

    We had the 'All In' and the quantity that came out was just about enough for the 4 of us but I think next time I would just have the roast. It was very loud and 2 of us have hearing problems which meant we had problems enjoying the conversation.

    We're a family of Yanks who went for Sunday roast. Loved everything! A very gravy-forward meal of perfect meats, outstanding veg and potatoes, and of course Yorkshire puddings. Terrific drinks and outstanding service.

    Fabulous roast. If you get the chance to Do the sharing plate on a Sunday go for it. The meats and gravy are Exceptional with massive yorkies and all the trimmings! Great vibe and staff.

    Quickly seated. Popular place, and for food reason. Staff extremely friendly, made sure we had everything we needed, the food was absolutely amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. I *highly* recommend giving them a try.
