Contemporary Italian Cuisine in a casual setting. Freshly prepared authentic food created by Chef Mario Bianca. Chef Mario is originally from southern Italy. His culinary style blends traditional Sicilian flavors with modern Italian recipes. We offer a variety of wines from small production vineyards that are sure to please. Our atmosphere is the perfect place for a date night, to bring the family, celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or have a world class meal before going to a baseball game or seeing a show at one of the many theaters just a block or two away. We are located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, NY just minutes away from Sahlen Field and Shea's Theater District.

We operate as a small, family-run business with a limited staff. We hope you leave feeling like family.

    We enjoyed a great evening out this Valentine’s weekend. From service to food, it was incredible! My husband and I shared fried oysters, Fettuccine Aragosta, Gnocchi Bolognese and a fabulous bottle of wine. Serving sizes were generous and we took home leftovers. We are excited that Blue Cave is heading to Lewiston in the upcoming weeks, as it is much closer to our home. We will be back!

    Food was decent - just too much sauce on the pasta dish. Service was friendly, just a little slow. Prices are what you expect nowadays. It’s an Italian restaurant but it still has the ambiance of the Mexican place that was there before.

    I had the Brasato Di Manzo which was EXCELLENT!! Two others had the Braciole and they both thought it was quite tough. They do not recommend it. Doubt we’ll be going back.

    We shared our dinner and the pistachio lasagna was very dry and overly cheesy. The scallop and risotto dish with saffron was good, however we didn’t expect the scallops to be cut into small pieces but overall it was tasty.
