   My wife and I were very excited to try Boa, but didn’t have a great experience. Service was great, ambience was great, but the food and drinks were a disappointment. My main complaint was my wagyu flight. I lived in Japan for 2 years and have had my fair share of wagyu. Wagyu is meant to melt in your mouth. It was tough to cut and the Hokkaido piece had a large gristle/cartilage running through it. I’ve never chewed up and spit out a piece of Wagyu in my life, but had to in this case. For $225 this should never happen.

   Fantastic service. The knowledge Dean had of the food and explained the process of ordering our food, to how the food will be presented and brought out to us. An experience for sure and top 2 steaks I’ve had in my lifetime, no question.

   Boa is hands down our go to in Austin anytime we have a special occasion or friends in town. The food is incredible. The decor is so beautiful. But the service is really what makes it a standout. Every one you encounter goes out of their way to make you feel special and appreciated for choosing to dine there. We are so happy that Boa is now in Austin! And we love Kelly….aka DJ Caesar and his table side Caesar salad show!

   Our first experience at Boa was amazing! We are visiting from out of town and a friend had recommended Boa to us. Dean was definitely one of the best servers we’ve ever had. He was knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly / attentive. The food and drinks were also fantastic! We started with the goat cheese baklava and then the tableside caesar salad. Both were delicious and perfect for two to share! For our mains we ordered a filet and bone-in ribeye. Both were medium rare and cooked to perfection. We added the herb butter to both and it was delicious! We also had the lobster Mac n cheese to share which was fantastic and had a good amount of lobster! We ended with the sticky toffee pudding per Deans recommendation and it was delicious- probably the best caramel I’ve ever had. We also had the manager and general manager stop by at different times checking it. They were both so friendly and you could tell they genuinely cared how your experience was. Food was 10/10 but service was 15/10!

   We had the raw oysters (Black Magic and another variety). Both were great and offered different flavor profiles (slightly briny and the other was slightly buttery and sweet). We had the wedge salad, the Aussie Wagyu NY Strip, and Brussels. My girlfriend also had the meatball as an appetizer. Everything was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly and the service was quite attentive. They have an outstanding wine list from someone who really loves off the beaten path selections. Highly recommend!

   We had a delicious and delightful dinner. The staff is friendly and welcoming and Patrick was an excellent waiter. We heartily recommend Boa’s and will be returning soon.

   Boa steakhouse is a must try if you’re in Austin!! Had a blast and everything was 10/10. Is highly recommended the wagyu meatballs and the lobster pasta!!

    Check didn’t allow ordering starters and entrees separately and the crew was rushing us by clearing plates quickly - felt too rushed - we were on a business meeting
