   Bob's is our favorite restaurant in downtown OKC. We eat there before the theater, birthdays, and other special occasions often. This particular visit was disappointing. The service provided by RJ was exceptional as usual. However, the food was lacking. My wife's filet was tough and stringy and not seasoned as usual. My filet was fine other than the lack of the usual seasoning. The carrots were under cooked and lacked the usual glaze. The smashed potatoes were warm, but not hot. This is the only time we've dined here and left disappointed.

   It was so loud. We could barely hear our waiter. I don't know if there was too many Texans in there or if it's normally like that. We had a newborn and they seated us, with a reservation, in a loud central table near the bar and front doors. She was so startled by the noise. I thought with a price point like that it would be a quiet, intimate, relaxing dinner but it was like being in a tavern. It was good but I don't think it was worth the price. Service was excellent, it's a beautiful place. I should have gone to The Ranch for more peace and relaxation.

   The food was good and though crowded, the ambience was nice. Our waiter disappeared when apparently a more important group came in. When we stopped him to ask a question, he was quite rude, saying he was really busy and didn't "have time for this right now" as he rushed passed our table. Another waiter came by to fill our wine glasses but no one ever came to ask us how our meal was and if we needed anything else. We weren't even offered dessert! This was my first time visiting Bob's Steakhouse, and I was not impressed. If you're looking for a great steakhouse, skip Bob's and go to Ranch Steakhouse. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed by the service or food.

   It was really loud making it difficult to talk. It was a busy evening there which added to the noise level.

   Food was outstanding! Server seemed a bit determined to get us to order while we just wanted to catch up with each other and relax. The filet may have been the best I’ve ever had.

    Hands down the best meal that we have had in ages!! Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures because I was too focused on eating. We had the onion rings for an appetizer, btw, I don’t eat onions and ate two of them!!! They were amazing! My husband had a blackened prime rib with skillet fried potatoes, I had salmon with smashed potatoes, I wish I had the words to say how delicious it was. The salmon had a beautiful crisp outer layer that was perfect. I can wait to visit again!
