Expected the same high quality and great tasting food as in their London location. However while the ambience was terrific, the quality of ingredients good, the taste of the food was average to disappointing. Can do way better in a hole in the wall place in Fremont or from one of the food trucks. Particularly when you consider the very high prices, I would recommend against to this restaurant.

The service was awfully slow and inattentive. Very uncharacteristic of a restaurant inside a Taj hotel. General food quality was good; however, the Kulfi dessert appeared to be stale. In fact, some of the pieces of nuts on the kulfi were rancid. The kulfi itself was very gritty and appeared to be in the freezer for a verrrry long period before serving. We had dinner as well as breakfast at the restaurant. The service was slow at dinner but was at a snail's pace during breakfast. We were hurrying to get to our flight in the morning and the completely unexpected long delay added significantly to our disappointment. We were told by the wait staff that they are very busy; which may be understandable as there were only two active waiters. The restaurant appeared to be half-empty; however. The overall service level left a lot to desire; especially at a Taj. Taj calls itself the "strongest hotel brand". The level of services we experience in India compared to what we faced at the Bombay Brasserie was night and day apart. Management needs to focus on this issue in an expeditious manner; if Taj wishes to preserve its image. The Taj in the US is no better than any other dining establishment.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bombay Brasserie, and I have to say, it was quite the experience! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm and inviting, with a mix of modern decor and traditional touches that made me feel right at home. I tried the butter chicken, which was simply divine. The richness of the sauce paired perfectly with the tender chicken, and I couldn’t resist mopping up every last bit with naan. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure my glass was never empty and checking in just enough without being overbearing. I really appreciated their recommendations, too; they helped me pick out a dessert that did not disappoint. The pistachio kulfi was creamy and refreshing—just the right way to end the meal. Overall, Bombay Brasserie is a wonderful place to enjoy delicious Indian cuisine in a cozy setting. Whether you’re a fan of spicy food or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend checking it out

The prawn curry and paneer makhani were AMAZING…however the overall vibe of the resturant was lacking….it needs more flare and music…atleast some indian and/or french music! The drinks were lackluster and appetizers could be better. I think creating an actual french/indian fusion menu would make the place 5 stars.

The overall experience was excellent. We went for Valentine’s dinner and ordered the prix fixe menu. The presentation, service and flavor for the first couple of courses was wonderful. However the main course of chicken makhani and kale and burrata pesto didn’t quite appeal to our palette. It seemed flat and not as flavorful as the other dishes served previously. Perhaps rethink this combination going forward. We will definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion!

Bombay Brasserie is a place that I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a beautiful and mesmerizing fusion of Indian and French cuisine! Their Crab and coconut soup is a must try along with their fillet mignon which is the best cut of meat I’ve ever had in the Bay Area. Chef George’s world class culinary expertise can be truly experienced with every bite of food I’ve had 😊
